Every act of self expression or independence as a woman is brought down by this *DONT*. Many of us spend years trying to overcome this little voice inside our heads that always tells us *DONT* and the sad thing is, majority of the women never fully come out of this dilemma.
Things I heard as a girl while growing up:
- don't sit with your legs open
- don't wear jeans
- don't jump around and act too happy
- don't wear t-shirts or jeans
- don't talk back with your elders (even when they are wrong)
- don't go out in the sun, you'll get too brown
With its students' mental & physical health at stake, LUMS (@lifeatLUMS) was supposed to ensure in-person classes this coming semester.
But this is what they decided to do:

hate the fact that choosing to remain silent in certain situations is the smart thing to do as compared to voicing an opinion that clashes w the beliefs of most people because that might “trigger” them and things might get ugly. Mehh.
twitter never ages honestly every single time I disappear and then come bk here, it’s like nothing has changed and everyone’s still tweeting the same old shiz
i think it’s crazy that when someone loves u, it’s so overwhelming for u to even reciprocate that same feeling back because their love ACTUALLY FEELS REAL
i stopped believing in love because I realised it gives ppl a sense of power over u which they can use to exploit u or jus idk makes them take u for granted
