On the one hand, I wish people were more careful with their words.
On the other hand, someone’s choice of words reveals a lot about their character.
So, which would you prefer: a pleasantly misleading veneer or an unpleasant truth?
🪁
Put the literal meaning of their words aside.
What do the words indicate about the other person? Intentional or not, what are they communicating to you about themselves? How can/will/should this inform how/whether you interact with them going forward?
You can’t take the stated (or imagined, implied) morals and values of a people and project them onto one individual. Doing so is unfair, unreasonable and unrealistic, and will only lead you to disappointment.
Treat individuals as individuals.

Do I want to be a martyr for that cause?
Will they resent me for bursting the bubble that they’ll revert into anyway?
🪁, All I need from you is consistency and integrity. You can be dynamic, ever changing, but your actions need to align with your words. Otherwise, how can I ever trust you? How can anyone ever trust you?

In the bloodstream, it becomes a systemic poison. It attacks the heart, liver, and kidneys leading to multi‑organ failure and death.
Monsters.

He’s negotiated a peace settlement 12 times.
And he’s opened the Strait of Hormuz at least 4 times.
