Everyone says they’d pay more for “Made in the USA.”
I tested it.
We make a $129 filtered showerhead manufactured in China. With tariffs surging to 170%, we explored reshoring. We found a U.S. supplier. Our costs nearly tripled.
I ran a clean A/B test:

@AlexProber @MiraiTunga23861 @doctorinsulin @MKBHD In my experience these "algorithms" are usually little more than "people who like X also like Y. You liked X, so here's some Y".
@roshanpateI Investment in UX is sorely needed. Product is not nearly in the place I would expect it to be at this stage. Especially if you're not in the US. Hodge-podge, buggy, hard to understand. It's all solvable though. Holding out hope, but uncomfortable giving them more use cases.
It's alarming to think how many people on Twitter would be supporting Germany if World War II were happening now. After Pearl Harbor nearly all the American ones would instantly go quiet, of course.
@ncole_r@DrEliDavid This might be hard for you to believe, but some people don't think children should be slaughtered even if some of their parents think being gay is bad.
Although I found his "just doing my job" response a little disingenuous, it's besides the point. Understanding that influencers like @MKBHD have this power is part of the game.
The drama around MKBHD is fair.
Today, 18 yo can burn millions $$ of brand value with a 500-second video.
But is he really at fault here or people can't accept the power shift that has taken place?
Let's dig 🧵
Seeing a lot of hate out there for the @Humane pin, @mkbhd has an epic takedown of it. And he might be right.
But from the maker pov, Humane made a massive bet, executed, and did the unprecedented. @humane team: you dared greatly, and should be very proud. We see you.
