Request your comittee to consider examining how the Pak-China axis on infowar is systematically using social media and local media to turn Sri Lankan public opinion against India, including using religious ideology among other tools.

No matter how much India assists Sri Lanka or how sincerely both govts work to strengthen ties, the reality of democracy is when a significant portion of the population is successfully antagonized against another country, policy immediately shifts to reflect that hostility in the short term.

Over long term, the consequences are even more severe. The young people being programmed today against India with hate will become ministers and officials, potentially transforming the state itself into one that is systematically hostile toward India.

This is a calculated, long-term strategy being implemented by India's adversaries. I may be wrong but I feel that India & MEA are not responding with sufficient urgency or strategy to counter this influence operation against India, programming the public of friendly countries against India.

It's happening not only in Srilanka and other neighboring countries like Nepal, BD, Bhutan etc, but also in partner nations ranging from the US to Japan.

Apart from the steps listed in attached post, India needs to urgently enforce platforms to prominently label AI generated content.

In fact, there must be a new India AI Act passed this parliament session. AI is going to be that impactful to the country.

Right now all these platforms have the tech to identify AI generated content uploaded, both images or videos. So they must be mandated by law to label them as such.

Creators too, by law, need to disclose AI generated content in India. It must be their responsibility. The state must, by law, have the power to take down content that is deemed AI generated, but not declared.

This must be done urgently. Every day delay means one more day of fake AI content creating trouble in India. And when the emergency time comes, like riots, war, or insurrection, it will be too late to act.
