After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today.

I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.

It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC.

May God bless America.

Meta and NSO are two technology companies that have been involved in a legal dispute since 2019. Meta, which owns WhatsApp, sued NSO for allegedly using its Pegasus spyware to hack into the phones of 1,400 WhatsApp users. NSO denied the allegations and claimed that it only sells its spyware to government agencies for legitimate purposes.
Recently, a U.S. court ordered NSO to hand over its Pegasus code and other spyware products to WhatsApp as part of the discovery process in the lawsuit. This is a major setback for NSO, as its code is considered a state secret and highly valuable. NSO has also faced other challenges, such as being blacklisted by the U.S. government, sued by Apple, and exposed by media reports for its role in spying on activists, journalists, and dissidents around the world.
Meta and NSO are still in litigation, and the outcome of the case could have significant implications for the future of privacy and security in the digital age.
