In Minneapolis, federal immigration agents have now fatally shot two U.S. citizens in January, first Renee Good, then 37-year-old ICU nurse for veterans Alex Pretti, who was unarmed and filming agents before he was tackled and shot dead.

What’s chilling is not just the brutality of these killings, but how quickly and consistently they are justified with scripted narratives even when video evidence contradicts the official line. This pattern: protect the enforcers, attack the witnesses, shift the story, is exactly how movements with authoritarian tendencies keep people from seeing the reality on the ground.

We have to pay attention to what’s actually happening, resist normalization, and demand transparency and justice for Renee, Alex, and all the innocent lives affected.

This is a video I really want people to watch. While I strongly disagree with most of her policy positions, she openly referred to the GOP as a cult, and that matters.

If you have a MAGA mother, father, sister, brother, cousin, or coworker, show them her original video and ask them what they think. Even better - watch it with them. Pause. Let what she’s saying sink in. A respectful question. then silence.

This can help. People exit themselves.

The goal isn’t to say “listen to her and wake up.” The goal is to ask warm, genuinely curious questions. One at a time:
• Do you think she’s making any good points?
• Do you disagree with anything she said?
• What did you think about her calling the GOP a cult?

Curiosity opens the door, not confrontation.

And who knows, maybe one day she will want to talk to me and read The Cult of Trump. I’m not holding my breath… but it would be something.
