my New Year’s gift for you all 💝🥰

I found myself crying again while working on this episode. 😭 I’m really thankful that P’Ja invited JS again to her new show. Thanks to her, we were able to hear such raw, vulnerable, and sincere thoughts from them. Learned more about them, both as individuals and as a pair. 💜🩵

It’s another hour-long video that I finally managed to sub successfully. Yay!! 🥳 Proud of myself! 😁

For deep-talk videos like this, the process is especially time-consuming, just 5 minutes of it can take nearly an hour to translate, type, edit, and properly research. After that comes QC for the entire video. On top of that, the subbing app didn’t cooperate and frustrated me so much. 😭

Some thought it could be released in just a couple of days, but I was also working a full-time job, so I didn’t have many hours each day to work on it.

There were nights I was so exhausted that I fell asleep with my iPad literally on my face. 😅 I’m doing this purely out of love for JS, and as a way to unwind and relieve stress after work, not to stress myself out even more lol. So pls be patient next time and try not to ask me when. 🥹

The backstory of how JimmySea was formed as a pair by P’X 💜🩵

💬: What about JimmySea?
P’X: Regarding JimmySea, I was the one who chose them myself. If you ask what I based it on... well, I chose Sea first. At that time, I was producing F4 Thailand, and I had to find a large number of actors for that project.

💬: (Teasingly) You didn’t call your friends?

P’X: Were you even finished with school back then? Anyway, Sea was one of the people I had my eye on to audition for F4. But as it turned out, none of the specific roles or characters at that time were a perfect fit for him.

💬: A fit for Sea.

P’X: Right, at that specific time. But I felt like I really wanted to work with Sea. From the interview, I felt that this guy had "the spark" of an actor; he has very deep, expressive eyes. I felt like I wanted to direct a project and have Sea in it.

💬: So you mean seeing him gave you inspiration?

P’X: Yes, yes.

💬: You wanted to create something for him.

P’X: Then, by chance, I came across the story Vice Versa. The main character's name was "Talay" (Sea). It immediately made me think of Sea as his name is already "Sea". I really loved that script, and I could see Sea as "Talay" very clearly. I even spoke with his parents; they came to the office, and after looking at the role, they felt it was interesting and trusted me.
Then came the time to find the leading man for that story. I looked at everyone… old actors, new actors, those already signed, and freelancers to find the other lead character. I secretly had my eye on Jimmy. In the story, that character has to be a top-tier famous star.

💬: Like, a total superstar.

P’X: And I felt that Jimmy had that "superstar" quality in him. Even though he had never acted in anything before, the way he walked, the rhythm of his movements, the way he stood, it was like a superstar. I saw that in him. I secretly went to observe them in their acting classes where they practiced in groups. I’d get info from the teachers and spy on them to see how they looked when they walked together, if they had chemistry, if they could become close, or what it was like when they talked. Finally, I talked to both of them about playing these roles together. It wasn't a formal casting session; I used every day as the "casting." I watched them constantly because I feel that casting within a limited timeframe isn't 100% reliable. I prefer "casting" outside of the audition room.
