When I was in college there was a basketball player for @uidaho that raised $$ for a mission trip and had to give it back b/c his face was on the #GoFundMe I thought wow the #NCAA sucked and now I see “DMs are open” for profit and I’m just thinking about that…
@CoachCahillShow I usually like to tell guys, “think about yourself as a salesman, in the end you’re selling yourself. Make sure you’re selling something he needs and don’t be annoying. No one likes a telemarketer everyone loves a problem solver”
@MSUDuo @Chris_P_Hammond@SamHerderFCS I guarantee you that Spack made the decision not because he is soft or the program is soft but rather a coach finally put the athletes before viewership and as a Redbird I can guarantee you that it won’t happen in a regular season.
@MSUDuo @Chris_P_Hammond@SamHerderFCS Ahh yes let’s keep fielding players into a high risk position just because fans want to see an asterisk year championship. You can call this decision what you want but what it really is it’s selfish on ISU’s part they determined the fall and it’s players safety come first
@Chris_P_Hammond@SamHerderFCS ISU has a lot of young talent and needs some leadership for sure, but I’ve seen some irreparable bodily damage for players across the country b/c they wanted to play a season they weren’t ready for
I hope every other team can finish their games but the real season is fall
@Chris_P_Hammond@SamHerderFCS As an alum of both Idaho and Illinois state I think it’s just dumb for either of my schools to continue a season when ISU literally has one healthy d lineman and Idaho has postponed games w/ half the team testing positive for covid...
@CahillKicking Haha yea being physically tired leads to risk of injury and being mentally tired leads to risk of changing form both super dangerous to kickers especially.
Free advice: if a mentor or a coach tells you what they can do for you w/o asking about your goals...you are a product and not a person to them. Keep your money in the bank unless you know who you’re working with
@CahillKicking Most of the kickers I know have gone to either one of them. From there results vary. Most fall down the rankings as they don’t attend more and some stay high enough to get a later contact from a college. It’s about performance and luck. No one can guarantee a scholarship
