@DougChapmanSCO @EdiAirport @UKBorder Complain to your airline and the company used for baggage handling you idiot, then to the UK gov who run Borderforce. Like all other airports in the UK the airport does not manage these parts of the journey, they run the facility.

The baggage handlers are not employed by the airport but by the service companies of the airlines (Swissport, Menzies etc) same companies all around Europe.
EDI ain’t perfect but so much better than many other airports in UK or Europe.

I would be as bold as to say it closer to many airline 1st class. Cannot fault it.
Just a pity that the 778s out of EDI don’t have this premium product.

For context EDI - EWR was double daily last year, which then move one rotation daily to GLA. Thus drop in PAX.
EDI- ATL was 11 weekly in July with an A332/3 so thus rather drop in PAX
Load factors would be interesting…

@SPD_travels With respect MAN and EDI are different markets. EDI has a larger inbound TALA pull than MAN from the US in particular . I would strongly suggest the CAA figures show that there is more outbound TALA holiday traffic leaving the UK from MAN.
This is driven by lower flignt prices

@SPD_travels In comparison EDI will have more TALA flights in W26 than ever with Delta going all year round to JFK and an extended AA PHL season.
Example- December EDI will still have flights to Newark, JFK, IAD and PHL.
