This video is hands down one of the best explainers for creatives when it comes to AI from @samhamper

Brilliantly educated and well thought through.
Please check out his latest video above but I highly recommend this 30-minute video from over a year ago that talks about AI art. It's all still very valid and brings up lots of interesting points:

And for goodness sake check his art page here:

:-)
I love and hate finding new content creators. I love as in finding new amazing creators is great. I hate as in just finding them now and hating I haven't found and followed them long before.
@samhamper is my favourite new content maker. I've mostly watched Sam's AI art videos where he talks about it from his oil painter's perspective with the full knowledge of modern-day technology and tools. He looks back, way back, at art and relates it to what is happening now. He discusses subjects in and around AI as well. He questions the words "art" and "artist" and their meanings.
I love how he expresses his opinion. It's easy to understand (for my simple brain) yet wonderfully articulate.
All AI artists, all AI enthusiasts and all AI haters should watch his videos. They are utterly brilliant.
I'm not posting anything after this thread today so his Twitter profile below sits here for a while and, hopefully, more of you see this:
Started doing weekly YouTube videos, last weeks on Sora Ai and what it means for the future of creative media has a great discussion in the comments, go join in https://t.co/TJHreZybCV
I've been persuaded to do some narrative videos about Ai and its affect on the art world and art jobs. If you're interested 'd love to know what you think. Let me know if I should keep the day job.

If the pace of change is going too fast for you with all the Ai chat - I've made slow mediative video with just art, nature and music from @musicbed. If you need a mindful 20 minutes then blast it LOUD and watch 'Charcoal though the Seasons' https://t.co/tCbCgu8eaj
