I had an excellent time at #IMC2024 this week. It was fantastic to be able to meet so many scholars working on Medievalism, as well as bring able to present some of my research into Medievalism in First World War memorials!
@Carolyngian None in Cambridgeshire or Northumberland, it was all local/regional figures (St Oswald in N, Hereward the Wake and Bryhtnoth of Essex in C). Hoping to look at more national trends soon, to see if these local and regional figures are the main use nationwide.
Despite being here for some medievalist First World War memorials, I couldn't resist indulging in the real medieval stuff with a visit to Dunstanburgh Castle and more dramatic landscape
