@jennjaypal@ForbesWomen This is such an excellent article as it reinforces the lived experiences of our autistic son Sam Holness who is a Guinness World Record holder for competing at the Ironman World Championships in Kona. Check his out on social media
@ScottROfficial I am the World's first Triathlete with Autism to compete at the Ironman WC in Kona, check out me on Insta @ samholnesstri, with a mission to change the perception of autism via sport. I would like to become a SAP ambassador. Can you help with intros.
@LBC Hi Oli, thanks is for discussing the topic of neurodiversity. My son is now 30 years old, was diagnosed at 4 years old with autism, he lives at home. He now has a Guinness World Record. Search Google for Sam Holness Triathlete. I am his Dad Tony Holness.
Next week is my first @LondonMarathon race ever. I would like to finish in sub 3hours as I build @IRONMANtri experience.
I have asked for the marathon organizers to allow me to start after the elite women so that I can avoid the mass start, because of my #Autism .
I am #autistic and racing at the @LondonMarathon at the end of April during #AutismAwareness month. I have asked for them to make some adjustments so that I can start nearer the front or after the professional women where it's quieter. They said no. @BlackAutistics@autismspeaks
