সে হেন মস্তিষ্ক চর্বণের হাতিয়ার হয়েছেন এই সব কবি, শিল্পী, সাহিত্যিকবর্গই।‌ সুনীল গঙ্গোপাধ্যায়, শক্তি চট্টোপাধ্যায়, শঙ্খ ঘোষ, জয় গোস্বামী অতি উৎকৃষ্ট মানের সাহিত্যিক, কিন্তু তাঁদের সাহিত্য মস্তিষ্কচর্বণকারী। সে সাহিত্য পাঠে মনের সকল জানলা খুলে যায় না বরং কিছু জানলা বন্ধ হয়ে যায়।

ফলে, এ রাজ্যে ভারতীয় জাতীয়তাবাদের প্রকৃত পুনর্জাগরণের জন্য এ হেন মস্তিষ্কচর্বণকারী বিদগ্ধজনেদেরকে আপাততঃ দূর থেকে গড় করাই সমীচীন। তাঁদের সাহিত্য বা শিল্পকর্মের মধ্যে ভালো যা কিছু আছে, হংসের মত তা গ্রহন করেও তাঁদের মস্তিষ্কচর্বণকারী রূপকে বর্জন করাই আপাততঃ বুদ্ধিমানের কাজ।

তা যদি করা হত, তবে গতকাল জয় গোস্বামীকে এইভাবে অপমানিত হতে হত না। পাবলিকের 'গো ব্যাক' স্লোগানের মধ্যে যে ব্যক্তি মাইকের সম্মুখে এসে দাঁড়ালেন, তিনি বললেন "আমরা তো জারের শাসনে নেই, ভরসা ইন হয়েছে, জারের শাসন তো নয়"—

যে গণঅভ্যুত্থান রাশিয়ায় হয়েছিল জারের শাসনের বিরুদ্ধে, তা জারকে সরিয়ে তৈরি করেছিল একখানি গভর্নমেন্ট যার আট মাস পর ভ্লাদিমির লেনিনের নেতৃত্বে সেই গভর্নমেন্টকে আবার সরিয়ে দিয়েছিল বলশেভিকরা। এ থেকে যে প্রশ্ন মনের মধ্যে জাগে তা হল— তসলিমা-অভ্যর্থনা মঞ্চের ঘোষক 'জারের শাসনের' রেফারেন্স দিলেন কেন যেখানে ভারতবর্ষ সুদীর্ঘ ২৫০ বৎসর বৃটিশ শাসনে থেকেছে? তিনি তো বলতেই পারতেন "আমরা তো বৃটিশ শাসনে নেই, ভরসা ইন হয়েছে, বৃটিশ শাসন তো নয়"—

তবে কি তসলিমা অভ্যর্থনা মঞ্চের ঘোষকও আদতে লেনিনের ভক্ত? মানে অন্তরে মার্ক্সীয়?

আবেগ অপেক্ষা কাণ্ডজ্ঞানের মূল্য সর্বদাই অধিক। ভারতীয় জনতা পার্টির মধ্যে ঢুকে থাকা সকল ব্যক্তিবর্গই যে গঙ্গাজলধৌত তুলসীপত্রের মত, এমন ভাবনাও কাণ্ডজ্ঞানহীনতারই পরিচায়ক।

Parenting, in today's scenario, is a full time job that requires higher education, extraordinary merit, skill of logical & factual debate, analytical skill for situation analysis, ability to tackle all tantrums thrown at parents by children & adolescents & a decent lifestyle of the parent(s) herself/himself.

Unless Bharat Sarkar looks at the task of parenting with due importance, our civilizational goal cannot be achieved.

There was an industry-wide response in the US to identify and profile every single protester, whether on the ground or online. They were terminated if working, expelled them from colleges/universities if enrolled, visas cancelled if foreigners; and deported. Hundreds lost jobs, studies, and got kicked out of America.

So don't cry "muh democracy!" if cockroach protestors are getting profiled right now for their Hinduphobic slogans, to be denied jobs, kicked out, or rusticated.

With respect, Hon'ble Calcutta High Court has correctly turned down Bhaipo Abhishek's petition for travelling abroad for treatment of his eyes. The Court has ordered him to get his eyes examined at SSKM Hospital at Kolkata and file their findings.

Abhishek is headed for the cooler, all his bravado notwithstanding, and no one knows it better than he himself. He is trying desperately to run away, following the footsteps of his coal-and-cattle-scam pal Vinay Mishra who was smart enough to run away in time to Vanuatu. Abhishek stayed back in West Bengal, shooting off his big mouth and is now a gone case.

My respectful submission before the Courts would be: Lordships must never allow the petition. There are world class eye hospitals in India, among them L V Prasad Eye Institute at Hyderabad and Sankara Nethralaya at Chennai, where patients from abroad come to receive treatment.
