Saleh El Machnouk: Haykal Must Step Aside
On the first day of the fifth round of Lebanese–Israeli negotiations in Washington, the Lebanese military delegation refused to take a commemorative photo with the Israeli delegation. A military source justified the refusal by saying that the success of any negotiations is measured by the results achieved in service of Lebanon, not by commemorative photos or protocol formalities.
Commenting on the incident, Saleh El Machnouk said that Army Commander General Rodolphe Haykal should step down. Machnouk argued that Haykal was appointed commander of the Lebanese Army with the mission of containing Hezbollah, but that now, with the mission having become the achievement of sovereignty and peace, he should resign.

A newly revealed intelligence document alleges that Qatar helped Iran circumvent international sanctions, providing economic and logistical support that strengthened both its economy and military capabilities. According to the report, the cooperation included financial channels, dual-use materials, and assistance that allowed Tehran to weather years of international pressure. If confirmed, the findings raise serious questions about Qatar’s role in the region and its credibility as a neutral mediator.

The number of locations recording 40°C+ (104°F) across France today is simply extraordinary.
This comes after the hottest night in France's history, where many locations did not get below 25°C (77°F).
Lebanon’s anti-Hezbollah camp is deeply disappointed with Trump over the Switzerland talks and the U.S.-Iran memorandum, which tied Lebanon to the deal.
While Hezbollah supporters are celebrating the agreement as a victory that restored Iranian influence and secured a ceasefire in Lebanon, opponents say it strengthens Hezbollah and undermines efforts to weaken and disarm the group.
A Lebanese politician told Kan News the deal has even embarrassed President Aoun and Prime Minister Salam, who have pushed for dialogue with Israel and curbing Hezbollah’s power. He said his camp hopes the memorandum is only temporary, warning that a permanent agreement would be a disaster and allow Iran to further entrench its influence in Lebanon. @kaisos1987

Lindsey Graham: "I spent 4.5 hours with President Trump on Friday. Here's what I think will happen next. If this deal fails, President Trump is gonna take the Strait of Hormuz over by force. We'll charge a fee for all those who go through to pay for the operation ... if Iran contests control of the Strait of Hormuz by the United States we'll obliterate them."
Israel’s ambassador to the U.S. posts:
“Imagine how long it takes to carve a tunnel network like this into a mountain.
Don't be fooled - this is who Hezbollah is - terrorists occupying Lebanon at the behest of Iran in order to attack Israel.”
