If Hamas had killed 7 Israelis inside of Israel this week, it would be one of the biggest stories in the world, & all over the US media.
But Israel killed 7 HUNDRED Palestinians this week, including almost 200 children, & yet there's little outrage from our politicians or media.
@BristOliver To claim meaningful construction work took place at Hinkley in 2008 is massively misleading. The development consent order wasn’t given until 2013, and FID was in 2016. Any fair assessment of when construction started would be c.2016, still a very long time, but not 21 years
Every time we cancel infrastructure at such a late stage, we're adding cost to the next construction contract, simply because the construction sector needs to price the uncertainty.
This is spot on from @ChristinaUnkel the referee used common sense. There was no advantage gained by Arsenal, it’s just a mix up over who was taking the goal kick with no Munich player near the incident.
You’d be sick if that went against you, especially in a CL quarter final.
Obviously it’s daft from Gabriel, but this is a (fairly rare) example of a situation where a referee can - and did - reasonably apply the “common sense” that people are usually so desperate for.
Christmas is a time when families get together and celebrate. With the brutal war going on in the Middle East, especially the death and destruction in Gaza, this year we get to Christmas with very heavy hearts and we share the pain of those families who are grieving the loss of their loved ones. Please do not forget them and do not get used to their suffering. Merry Christmas.
UN General Assembly @UN adopts Gaza resolution calling for immediate and sustained ‘humanitarian truce’
The #UK abstained 🤷🏽♀️😢
These morally indefensible positions we take even on a “humanitarian truce” shames us
