If all the various governments, regardless of which side they’re on , have got the country in this financial mess can someone tell me why the poor and disabled are supposed to pay for the mistakes that the politicians have made ???
One thing that hasn’t been explained in the get sick people back into work stuff - where exactly are the jobs going to be ??? Where are they coming from? How are employers going to pay the wages and in some cases the adaptions that will be needed ???
The cuts to disabled people's support will push 250,000 people – including 50,000 children – into poverty, according to the Government's own analysis.
I have some of the poorest wards in the country within my constituency.
I cannot support that.
And so on behalf of my constituents, I will vote against these cuts when they come to Parliament.
Disability benefit cuts will push over 250,000 people, including 50,000 children, into poverty.
So I asked the Chancellor —who earns over £150,000, accepted £7,500 in free clothes & took freebie tickets to see Sabrina Carpenter— if Austerity 2.0 is the "change" people voted for?
Just rolled in from the @RTS_media awards...
I won the Presenter award for my doc Better Off Dead?
Whaaaaaaat?
Thanks to @_BurningBright_@OpenUniversity@BBC for giving me the chance to explain why me & many other disabled people are terrified of legalising assisted suicide
This is not a comment on whether or not we should continue to fund the war in Ukraine. Please tell me though if we are constantly told we can't keep pensioners warm, we can't lift the 2 child benefit cap, we can't get 4m children out of poverty because of a £24b black hole where do these billions come from for war?
Sooo. I won’t be around for this weekend onwards hence the hard tweetage!
On Friday I’ll be sofa-ing on BBC Breakfast and then like an over-excited competition winner I’ll be eating and chatting to @jamesmartinchef on his brilliant Saturday morning show.
ALL THINGS #THEBAY
Oh do fuck off with your inappropriate behaviour. I’m not his biggest fan but Gino D’Acampo’s brand has always included innuendo, no doubt encouraged by ITV. Remember his giggles with Holly & Phil? And the likes of #gmb and #Thismorning happy to cancel the man now. Shame on you
I bought some kitchen knives at Christmas from Amazon and was expecting to show ID but the parcel was left on the doorstep and they didn’t even knock!! The parcel has three sharp knives inside !
'We've seen and heard this all before.'
@toryboypierce and @Kevin_Maguire react to Prime Minister Keir Starmer vowing to change the rules on knife sales after the Southport murderer Axel Rudakubana was able to buy a blade online.
