I see far more questions asked in order to challenge authority than to actually learn from them.

This usually happens in the name of “holding them accountable”. But my Bible doesn’t give me the job of judge, it leads me to the role of a servant.

Valuing “common sense” is not a biblical perspective on truth. “Common sense” is simply the common thoughts and views of a culture at a specific time.

And the way of Jesus is far from common. So it’s not common sense to believe in His truth and practice His way.

Quitting early is one of the quickest ways to excuse yourself from the blessings of God.

God stripped the devil and his followers of not just a “title” but an “identity”.

So why are we surprised that he continually wages war on the identities of human beings?

He is desperate for us to deform into his image rather than being formed into God’s.

“Is it sin?” Is a really lazy question. Some alternatives…
“Is it wise?”
“Is it healthy?”
“Is it addictive?”
“Is it best?”
“Is it essential?”

Don’t settle for just a DEVOTIONAL LIFE, pursue living a DEVOTED LIFE.

When our time with God is limited to a few minutes at the beginning of the day we are missing out.

God should not be ISOLATED to part of our day, He should be INTEGRATED throughout the entirety of our day.

Religion is not in the way of relationship with God. Religion is “a particular system of faith and worship”. Essentially healthy religion is HOW we build relationship with God.

Done ISOLATE God by limiting Him to a devotional time, INTEGRATE God by living a devoted life.

Before attempting to set fresh GOALS for the new year I want to realign with my life’s VALUES.

When I begin with the GOAL I often sacrifice a VALUE to attain it. But when the goal is birthed FROM my values it actually enables me to accomplish the goal from a healthy position.

“HYPE” comes from the old fashioned slang “HYPER”, which defined a person who swindled someone else. Aka they oversold a product beyond its value.

So when we over “HYPE” up the church the end result is often people feeling SWINDLED not DISCIPLED.

Jesus offers hope not hype.

Unrealistic IDEALISM (about the local church) can easily produce substantial CYNICISM in the life of a believer.

If you are at the center of your calling it’s a dream not a call. Every calling of God, in scripture, is centered around the people God is asking you to impact not the blessings you want to receive.

What if internal Gossip & Slander are a greater threat to the American church than external influence from Politics & Hollywood?

Be cautious of people who only want in on your SUCCESS but not your STORY.

It’s easy to find people who will share in the BLESSING, but it’s hard to find people who want a share of the BUILDING.
