No disrespect but it’s hard to trust a manager who looks at Erceg as the better pitcher this season. If Lynch had 15 saves right now he would be the hottest LHP on the market. But instead he only has 1 while Erceg has a league leading 6 blow saves. The trust in Q is practically 0
Matt Quatraro's biggest issue is that he believes too much of what he has SEEN, not what he is SEEING. He still believes that, because they've done it before, that:
Erceg can pitch in the clutch
Vinnie/Salvy can hit 3-4
And why it took him so long to give up on MJ/Renfroe.
@ChanceLiebau But if he exceeds in the closer roll his trade value skyrockets. Is it just because the Royals don’t want to take that risk? Is his trade value even that high currently?

@Wittman7@Chabotsports Btw if you take away the shortened season World Series and the 2024/2025 bought championships their last World Series year was 1988 lol
@Wittman7@Chabotsports 1. It was the shortened Covid season
2. Their team leader in WAR was literally Mookie Betts (not homegrown)
3. The Dodgers were a good team that consistently made the playoffs but here’s the Dodgers active payroll by year for reference
2020- 125 million
2025- 350 million
