๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐: Jordan Pickford sits top of the charts for saves made across Europeโs top five leagues over the past decade. 1,118 and counting. ๐งค
@JoseffCookz It doesnโt help that London grown that much and with the rise of remote working, Londoners have started coming up north to Manchester (canโt blame them) but that makes housing and cost of living in these abandoned areas get more expensive and become more unaffordable
If Andy Burnham includes the following in his manifesto, Labour will romp home:
Referendum to rejoin the EU.
Nationalise the utilities.
Tax the super rich.
Commitment to fund public services and the NHS.
Iโve never kept it quiet that I rate Andy Burnham.
I also dislike the way so many people are viciously attacking the PM, with a level of vitriol that is completely unwarranted
If you canโt treat those in your own party with respect, how can we expect to govern?
๐จ NEW: Zack Polanski says the new PM needs to confront the "vested interests that are holding this country back"
"Wealth taxes on the super rich, utilities taken into public ownership, rent controls and affordable housing, and an end to support for Israelโs genocide in Gaza"
A democratically elected British Prime Minister has been driven from office by a relentless campaign of propaganda and misinformation; funded, amplified and perpetuated by foreign billionaires and elites whose interests bear zero resemblance to those of ordinary working people.
A noble gesture from an emotional Keir Starmer, entirely consistent with his conduct in office.
A truly sad day for British democracy.
His full resignation speech:
The vested interests that are holding this country back need to be confronted, with wealth taxes on the super rich, utilities taken into public ownership, rent controls and affordable housing, and an end to support for Israelโs genocide in Gaza. (2/5)
