When I sat down with Tucker Carlson on Wednesday, I was expecting a thoughtful conversation and that he would ask questions and give me the opportunity to actually respond--just like he did with the little Nazi sympathizer Nick Fuentes or the guy who thought Hitler was the good guy and Churchill the bad guy. What I wasn't anticipating was a lengthy series of questions where he seemed to be insinuating that the Jews of today aren't really same people as the Jews of the Bible.

I'll first just say something I didn't think to say to Tucker, which is that Ashkenazi Jews, meaning those who families had spent centuries in Europe, are a minority of Israel's Jewish population, only maybe 35-40%. There are far more Sephardic and Mizrahi Jews inside Israel.

But there's a good reason, as it turns out, that I had never encountered this theory that Tucker kept pushing on. That’s because it comes from some of the darkest realms of the Internet and social media.

I think it's important to take a moment now and educate Tucker and anyone else who might get sucked in by this dangerous conspiracy theory, just as I have been educated this week.

I'm sharing this information because it has been weaponized by very bad people to delegitimize Jews and strip them of their history.

It's an idea that gained traction in the 80's and 90's with David Duke and other Klansmen and neo-Nazis. It has really caught fire in recent years on the Internet and social media, mostly from some of the most overt anti-Semites and Jew haters you can find.

I don’t know why Tucker was so fixated on this, and I'm certainly not saying he knew the origins of this conspiracy theory. I don't know what's in his heart or what he was thinking.

But I do know that the discredited idea that most Ashkenazi or European Jews descended from the ancient Turkic kingdom of Khazaria is bunk. It's also been weaponized by people trying to deligitimize Jews, to strip them of their history, and to call them "imposters" or "fake Jews."

This odious conspiracy theory is peddled by the likes of Candace Owens and Nick Fuentes and by people who love David Duke, as well as Islamist accounts that make up false smears about Israel non-stop and are run out of countries like Pakistan and Turkey.

But we know from genetics and rich volumes of written literature that the Jews of today can trace their lineage back thousands of years to the Israel and the Jewish people of the Bible.

They are as connected together as genetics tell us that the ancient Khazar kingdom is to people living today in Turkey.

And if Tucker wants to tour more than Ben-Gurion Airport on his next trip to Israel, I'm happy to show him places where Jews have lived going back to the time of Jesus Christ and even earlier.

I sincerely hope Tucker will let me know when he actually wants to learn facts about the land and people. Asking me about conspiracy theories should remain on the fringes and not be the heart of the conversation.

In Malachi 3:6, God declares:
“For I am the Lord, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.”

God’s unchanging nature is powerfully displayed in the very existence of Israel.

To suggest that God has changed His mind about Israel is, in effect, to call Him a liar.

This is precisely why Paul wrote in Romans 3:1–4:
“What advantage then has the Jew, or what is the profit of circumcision? Much in every way! Chiefly because to them were committed the oracles of God. For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect? Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar.”

Israel’s preservation is not a testimony to the faithfulness of the Jewish people, but to the faithfulness of God.

Instead of mocking, slandering, or hating the Jewish people, we should celebrate their very existence. They are living proof that God keeps His promises.

If you support any movement or group that calls for Israel’s destruction, you are aligning yourself with those who oppose God’s declared purposes.

Finally, if you come against Israel, it is ultimately because you have a problem with the God of Israel. You hate Him - and you are His enemy.

Psalm 83:1-4 makes this unmistakably clear:
“Do not keep silent, O God! Do not hold Your peace, And do not be still, O God! For behold, Your enemies make a tumult; And those who hate You have lifted up their head. They have taken crafty counsel against Your people, And consulted together against Your sheltered ones. They have said, ‘Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.’”

And concerning His enemies, Psalm 68:1 declares:
“Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered; Let those who hate Him flee before Him.”

The Seven Kingdom Mysteries

Why Jesus Suddenly Began Speaking in Parables

Most Christians read Matthew 13 without realizing it changed the conversation about the Kingdom forever.

For twelve chapters Jesus taught openly. Then, after Israel's leaders rejected their Messiah (Matthew 12), everything changed.

He began speaking in parables.

Why?

Because He was about to reveal truths the prophets had never seen.

If we misunderstand these parables, we'll misunderstand why evil still exists, why the Messiah did not immediately establish His Kingdom, why believers and unbelievers live side by side, and why the prophets still point to a future reign of Christ.

Matthew 13 reveals the age between the King's rejection and His return.

📖 A Mystery Hidden from the Prophets

The prophets saw the Kingdom.

Isaiah saw the King reigning on David's throne (Isaiah 9:6-7).

Daniel saw the Son of Man receiving an everlasting Kingdom (Daniel 7:13-14).

Zechariah saw the LORD reigning over all the earth (Zechariah 14:9).

Ezekiel saw the future Temple.

Amos saw Israel planted forever in her land (Amos 9:14-15).

But none of them saw the valley between the King's rejection and His return.

Jesus did.

"To you it has been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 13:11)

Matthew explains why:

"I will open My mouth in parables; I will utter things hidden since the foundation of the world." (Matthew 13:34-35)

The Greek word mystērion describes a truth once hidden that God has now revealed.

The prophets saw the mountain peaks. Jesus revealed the valley between them.

📖 What Changed?

Matthew 12 marks a turning point.

Israel's religious leaders rejected their Messiah and attributed His miracles to Satan.

From that moment, Jesus began revealing Kingdom mysteries to believing disciples while concealing them from hardened hearts.

The prophets had seen the coming Kingdom.

Jesus now revealed what would happen before it.

🌱 How Does the Kingdom Advance?

"A farmer went out to sow his seed..." (Matthew 13:3)

The seed is the Word of God (Matthew 13:18-23).

The difference is never the seed.

It is the soil.

Some hearts reject it.

Some receive it with joy but fall away.

Some are choked by the cares of this world.

Some bear abundant fruit.

The Kingdom would spread not by armies or political power, but one transformed heart at a time.

🌾 Why Does Evil Still Exist?

If the King has come, why do the righteous and the wicked still live together?

Jesus answers:

"Let both grow together until the harvest." (Matthew 13:30)

Why?

"The harvest is the end of the age." (Matthew 13:39)

Judgment is certain.

It is simply not yet.

The King has appointed a future harvest when He alone will separate the righteous from the wicked.

🌳 Why Did the Kingdom Begin So Small?

The Messiah was promised a throne.

Instead, He gathered fishermen.

"Though it is the smallest of all seeds... it becomes a tree..." (Matthew 13:31-32)

Daniel saw a stone "cut out, but not by human hands" that would one day become "a huge mountain and fill the whole earth" (Daniel 2:34-35).

Matthew 13 reveals the age of growth before that day arrives.

The King first gathers citizens before establishing His Kingdom.

🫓 What Characterizes This Present Age?

"The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman mixed into the flour until it worked all through the dough." (Matthew 13:33)

This is one of Jesus' most discussed parables.

Some see the quiet spread of the gospel.

Others see the gradual spread of corruption.

Either way, the influence of this age works quietly, steadily, and often unseen until the end.

💎 What Does the King Treasure?

"The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field..." (Matthew 13:44)

The man joyfully sells everything to obtain the treasure.

Throughout the Tanakh, Israel is called God's treasured possession (Exodus 19:5; Psalm 135:4). For this reason, many understand the hidden treasure to represent Israel, temporarily hidden but never abandoned (Romans 11:25).

Others see the treasure as the incomparable value of the Kingdom itself.

Whichever view one adopts, the King's joyful sacrifice stands at the center.

🦪 What Was Worth the King's Sacrifice?

"When he found one pearl of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it." (Matthew 13:46)

Unlike the hidden treasure, the pearl is actively sought.

Many understand the pearl to picture the Church, gathered into one people from every tribe and nation (Ephesians 2:14-16; Revelation 5:9).

Interestingly, pearls are not a common covenant symbol in the Hebrew Scriptures and come from the sea, which often symbolizes the nations. Many therefore see the pearl as a fitting picture of a people gathered from among the Gentiles.

Others understand the pearl, like the treasure, to emphasize the incomparable value of the Kingdom.

Either way, the King gladly gave everything to obtain what He loves.

🕸️ How Does This Age End?

Jesus ends where history ends.

"The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous." (Matthew 13:49)

Notice who performs the separation.

Not governments.

Not the Church.

The King sends His angels.

Daniel foresaw it.

Jesus proclaimed it.

Revelation completes it.

✨ Suddenly Everything Fits

The King is absent.

The gospel is sown.

Some believe.

Many reject.

Wheat and weeds grow together.

The Kingdom expands quietly.

Israel experiences a temporary hardening.

Gentiles are gathered.

The fullness of the Gentiles comes in.

Israel looks upon her Messiah in faith (Zechariah 12:10).

"And so all Israel will be saved..." (Romans 11:25-26)

The harvest comes.

The King returns.

The times of restoration begin. (Acts 3:21)

"The LORD will be King over all the earth." (Zechariah 14:9)

Jesus was not inventing a new story.

He was revealing the next chapter of an old one.

The mystery was never that God abandoned His promises.

The mystery was that Israel's temporary hardening would open the door for the nations before the King returned to fulfill every covenant He made with Abraham, David, and Israel.

👑 Even the Disciples Understood This

After His resurrection, Jesus spent forty days speaking to His disciples about the Kingdom of God (Acts 1:3).

Then they asked,

"Lord, are You at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?" (Acts 1:6)

If they had misunderstood the Kingdom, this was the perfect moment to correct them.

Jesus did not correct their expectation.

He corrected their timing.

"It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by His own authority." (Acts 1:7)

Peter would later proclaim the coming,

"...the time for God to restore everything, as He promised long ago through His holy prophets." (Acts 3:21)

Exactly what Isaiah, Daniel, Ezekiel, Amos, and Zechariah had foretold.

📖 One King. One Kingdom. One Story.

Genesis begins with mankind losing dominion.

The prophets promise its restoration.

Jesus reveals the mystery between rejection and return.

Acts anticipates the restoration.

Revelation announces the King's return.

Suddenly, Matthew 13 is no longer just seven parables.

It is the missing chapter between the Prophets and Revelation.

The prophets announced the King.

Jesus revealed the mystery.

Revelation records the King's return.

"The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Messiah, and He shall reign forever and ever." (Revelation 11:15)

The mystery has been revealed.

The King is coming soon.

Have We Become the Generation Paul Warned About?

In an age of endless distraction and moral confusion, Scripture gives us sobering clarity.

“But understand this: In the last days terrible times will come.” (2 Timothy 3:1)

The Apostle Paul does not mince words.

He paints a vivid portrait of a society unraveling:

“People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive,”
“disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving,”
“slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good,”
“treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.”

Having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people. (2 Timothy 3:2-5)

➤ Paul continues with a warning about those who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible people. Always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. (vv. 6-7)

We see echoes today in the explosion of self-focused digital identities, the normalization of family breakdown, the celebration of what Scripture calls brutal or without natural affection, and the rise of influencers who peddle spiritual-sounding wisdom that never leads to repentance.

When self-love reigns, every other virtue withers. The hollow piety deceives both the deceived and the deceiver.

Jesus Himself commanded us to discern the season.

When you see a cloud rising in the west, immediately you say, It is going to rain, and it does.
You hypocrites. You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky.
How is it that you do not know how to interpret this present time? (Luke 12:54-56)

He also gave the fig tree parable.

As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near.
Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. (Matthew 24:32-33)

We track weather patterns with precision but often ignore clearer moral and spiritual indicators. The call is not to set dates. The day and hour remain the Father’s alone. Stay awake. Watch. Live ready.

The Apostle Peter adds a sobering layer about the scoffers.

Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come.
Scoffing and following their own evil desires.
They will say, Where is this coming he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation. (2 Peter 3:3-4)

These scoffers do not merely doubt. They mock with smug certainty. They point to apparent normalcy while ignoring moral erosion all around us.

They deliberately forget God’s past judgment by water. The current heavens and earth are reserved for fire. Yet the Lord’s delay is mercy. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)

Scoffing is willful forgetfulness fueled by evil desires. The stability they cite is actually evidence of God’s patience.

Romans 1 illuminates the underlying mechanism.

When people suppress the truth about God that is plain from creation, their thinking becomes futile and their hearts darkened. (Romans 1:18-21)

They exchange God’s glory for idols. They are given over to shameful lusts and a depraved mind. The result mirrors 2 Timothy 3. Filled with every kind of evil. Greed. Envy. Strife. Deceit. Malice. Gossip. Slander. Arrogance. Ruthlessness. They not only practice these things but approve of those who do.

This is the tragic progression Scripture repeatedly warns against. Truth suppressed. Conscience seared. Society coarsened. Modern parallels abound in technological progress that accelerates isolation, addiction, and division while promising fulfillment.

Christians in earlier centuries also recognized the traits Paul described. Cyprian, writing around A.D. 251, believed the moral corruption of his age reflected Paul’s warning. That does not mean every generation was equally close to the end. It shows that the “last days” began in the apostolic era, while Scripture warns that deception, lawlessness, and rebellion will intensify as the age moves toward its final crisis.

What then shall we do?

Peter answers. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God. (2 Peter 3:11-12)

Turn away from the counterfeit. Watch and pray. Discern the season. Cling to the genuine power of godliness. Repentance. Faith. Obedience. Love from a pure heart.

The same Scriptures overflow with hope. The Lord is patient. Not willing that any should perish. The gospel still advances with power. Christ will return to make all things new.

This version keeps the momentum building to the end, centers the application on the reader, and closes with both hope and expectancy.

Scoffers will scoff.

Lovers of self will multiply.

But the people who know their God will stand firm and take action (Daniel 11:32).

Are these the last days? Perhaps.

But an even better question is this:

Am I living as one who knows the truth—and walks in its power?

Let us examine our own hearts. Repent where repentance is needed. Stand firm in the faith. Proclaim the gospel boldly. Shine as lights in a dark world while there is still time.

"...our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here." (Romans 13:11–12)

The King is coming. Until that Day dawns, may He find us faithful.

Ever since October 7, 2023, I shifted to reporting the news 24/7. That season culminated during the major milestones of this ongoing war - the hostage crisis, the pager operation, the fall of the Assad regime, and the two wars with Iran.

The sheer amount of evil I was exposed to - most of which I deliberately chose not to share - combined with increasing sleep deprivation and chronic back pain, eventually forced me to make a very difficult decision.

I had to ask myself one simple question: What is my true calling?

The answer was clear: to teach the Word of God.

As long as I could faithfully teach the Scriptures while also keeping you informed with the news, I gladly did both. Over the past several weeks, and particularly in recent days, as I witnessed the complete madness, deception, and confusion coming from every direction, I realized the time had come to make the painful decision to step away from daily news reporting.

I knew there would be backlash, and sadly, I was right. My direct messages on Instagram quickly became vicious, mean-spirited, and hostile. One woman told me she was going to throw my books in the trash instead of giving them to her brother to read. Others warned that this decision would financially hurt the ministry.

Looking back now, I can honestly acknowledge that I am dealing with post-traumatic stress from everything I was exposed to while covering these events.

When you’re in that state, reporting the news becomes nearly impossible. Your emotions begin to overwhelm your thoughts and judgment, and before you even realize it, your personal frustration and grief over what is happening in the world begin to shape the tone of your reporting. Instead of informing, equipping, and encouraging, I found myself increasingly doing the opposite.

I am deeply grateful that I was able to serve in that capacity during one of the darkest periods in Israel’s history. But I am even more grateful that God has allowed me to recognize my own weakness and vulnerability, and to return wholeheartedly to the place where I know I belong - studying and teaching His Word.

News will never lead anyone to the saving knowledge of the Messiah, nor will it ultimately explain the world we live in. The Word of God will.

And as for me, the verse the Lord has placed on my heart is this:

“And He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV)
