Dear @elonmusk, can you please help me pay for a dream vacation with my friends. We only need money for air tickets, accommodations, food, and a guarantee of a financially independent future for our families for the rest of our lives. I can DM all the details. Thank you!
What an amazing show!
Today, we had the opportunity to take part in the preparations and parade for the traditional cultural activity Beyya. People decorated themselves with coconut leaves, cotton, and all kinds of creative materials. Some costumes were playful and amusing, others looked wonderfully spooky, but every single one reflected remarkable imagination and creativity.
As the parade moved through the island under the bright midday sun, people danced, sang, and cheered together along the streets. Music, laughter, and celebration seemed to flow through every corner of Kinbidhoo.
I heard that heavy rain fell here just yesterday, which made todayโs clear weather feel even more precious. The sky above Kinbidhoo was bright and crystal blue, with sunlight pouring across the island and the sea shimmering quietly beneath it.
Hidden among the peaceful trees was a small playground, where colorful slides seemed to be the childrenโs favorite place to gather and play. In the distance, children rode their bicycles along the island paths, their faces full of laughter and joy.
The happiness and peace of these simple island moments felt truly contagious, and I wanted to share them with all of you.
It was a real pleasure arriving in Kinbidhoo and receiving such a warm welcome from the local community. The islandโs peaceful atmosphere, beautiful scenery, and gentle sea breeze made a wonderful first impression.
As the water balloon passing and jump rope games get underway, the festive mood intensifies. Without even realizing it, we have become part of this joyful ocean.
Centuries ago, Muslims from the heart of Africa walked nearly 7,000 kilometers for Hajj.
Not for days.
Not for weeks.
But for years.
They crossed deserts on foot, travelled with livestock for food and survival, and spent entire lifetimes saving for one sacred journey to Makkah.
Along the roads stood wells, inns, and shelters built by Muslim rulers and generous souls to serve the guests of Allah.
Some pilgrims returned home after two years.
Some stayed longer seeking knowledge in cities like Cairo and Damascus before finally returning with the honored title of โHajji.โ
A reminder that for many before us, Hajj was not a trip.
It was the journey of a lifetime.
