My study on the impacts of COVID-19 on self-employment in rural America was recently published in @RuralSociology, and it’s open access. Check it out! https://t.co/xj8k8Pklbb
The last time we saw a major pandemic and US authorities failed to take early action, this man was among the early victims.
This is Frederick Trump. He died in May of 1918 of the Spanish Flu. Perhaps his grandson could have learned a lesson from hearing this story growing up.
@MatthewBerryTMR Great... I had Ware and Gordon (still)... Which of the two - Jackson or Williams - is a better pickup and start. (I also had Kerryon Johnson and Adrian Peterson... it's been rough.)
@hodgman@JesseThorn I am trying to find an old #JJHo episode where the Honorable Judge tries to define what we should consider is a sport (probably in chambers). Want to play it for my sociology of sport class i’m teaching. can I get a bit of help finding it?
@Get_Up When playing on clay they don’t use Hawkeye because you can see the ball mark. The problem is when the umpire and player see different marks (from a previous point). They really should adopt Hawkeye on clay too!!
@writing_alchemy@hodgman I’m the Sam who sent in the case. And this is what I was thinking too. It could also make future versions of the class more difficult.
@RiktorBernan @hodgman I’m the letter writer from the episode. I had the same thoughts. Even if it doesn’t hurt the class, in the future the class will be harder.
@SYSKPodcast Any tour posters or anything for the first to the show tonight in Seattle? Wondering if I should show up much before 7 when doors open or if I would be super lame to be that early.
@bgtennisnation I think it went better than I expected. They seemed to actually understand each other. Could be a partnership that would help Nick a lot.
