Rio Ferdinand tells Man Utd fans demanding £130,000,000 signings: “SHUT UP, YOU IDIOTS!”
“You know what? It’s been a sensible window again.
“All these people are, ‘We should have blown £130 [million] on Anderson,’ or whatever.
“Whether Anderson’s good enough or not, £130 [million], if that’s going to blow our budget to go and get more depth into this squad, you can’t do it. You just can’t do that.
“So all these people that are shouting for those type of players are idiots who don’t understand the business of football.”
“And you can take that, you can repurpose that and shove it to them people again when they’re saying that we should have gone and spent £130 million.
“Shut up, you idiots.”
“You’ve got to build a squad here that’s going to be able to go and play and perform over multiple competitions.”
Lisandro Martinez gets sent off for briefly stroking Calvert-Lewis’s hair but Gabriel only gets a yellow card for pushing his head at Haaland! Make it make sense. What was more violent? Ridiculous
🚨🚨🚨
Sir Jim Ratcliffe has reportedly lined up 10 top lawyers to sue the Premier League for £80m over alleged corruption.
• Reappointing same referees after a major error in a #MUFC match
• Failing to take action like any normal workplace would
• Risk of no UCL damages
🚨 Wayne Rooney on the referees decision tonight:
Amad diallo was fouled but the ref ignored it. Maguire foul wasn’t as visible as amads but it was given straight red card and penalty. The premier league officials has been harsh on Manchester United this season and it’s getting ridiculous
🚨How is Maguire’s foul given but NOTHING on Amad??
Same situation, completely different decisions — absolute joke. We’ve been robbed here.
@FA_PGMOL — This is a JOKE!!

Is this Athletic or Sun now?
@lauriewhitwell@Ankaman616@AndyMitten Will you publish an article on why the Sesko shot that got deflected wasn’t given a corner? Or why the referee stopped the game exactly at 5 mins despite further delays in the game during extra time? Or why Yates didn’t get yellow cards despite making fouls without attempting no intention to win the ball?
Rayner. My thoughts.
Do I blame somebody for trying to lawfully reduce their tax bill? No. Do I think she’s a stinking hypocrite who should resign? Yes.
It’s the hypocrisy I detest.
These people have layered regulation on regulation, hiking up tax and making the system increasingly impossible to navigate without expensive help.
It’s people like Rayner who cheered all this on, relentlessly. Had she raised concerns about the complexity of our system, and made attempts to reduce it, I would have more sympathy.
She didn’t, and I don’t.
Now she’s breaking down in tears, talking about her family and so on.
Quite frankly, I don’t care. Don’t pull that card.
She can’t expect the rest of the British people to pay their ‘fair’ share of tax, but when it comes round to her turn she ducks the swing. No thanks. It does not work like that.
Do the country a favour and resign.
Politics is increasingly about personality and not policy.
I am bored of it. The British people are bored of it.
Party politics is boring. I want to campaign on issues, not personalities.
Move on, Angela.
