I’m sure we have all now seen the footage of Metropolitan rozzers kicking a suspected terrorist in the head, repeatedly, when he was down.
We can all play a part in putting an end to this sort of police brutality. Mainly by not going around stabbing people.
So the minimum wage just went up and the government is very proud of itself.
Here is what they are not telling you.
Your wage goes up. Your tax goes up. Your National Insurance goes up. HMRC takes its cut before you see a penny of that £1,500.
Now your employer is paying more for every single person on their books. They are not absorbing that. Nobody absorbs that. So prices go up.
The coffee you buy on the way to work costs more. The lunch you grab costs more. The haircut costs more. All of it costs more because the people serving you are now on higher wages too, and their employers did exactly the same thing.
So you got a pay rise, and everything got more expensive at the same time. Almost like it cancelled out.
If they actually wanted workers to keep more money they would cut their tax. That's it. That's the whole idea.
But that would mean the government collecting less. So instead they raise the minimum wage, taking a cut on the way in and benefit from the price rises on the way out through VAT, and call it a historic day for working people.
In my entire adult life I dont think I've ever experienced an economic boom in the UK. Graduated a few years after the 2008 financial crisis, and ever since then it's been either economic stagnancy or recession. I would love to see what an optimistic, booming economy looks like.
Everyone cries ‘tax the rich more’
But a £150k earner pays £53,460 in tax
And £25k earner pays just £2,486 in tax
It takes 21 £25k earners to contribute was one £150k earner does in tax
The problem is not the rich
The problem is how much tax is wasted
European controllers, certainly London, upkeep extremely high standards of radio discipline, the likes of which I’ve never witnessed in the States. If American aviators want to be safer and the Controllers want to be regarded in higher esteem, change is needed.
Politics and ‘DEI hires’ aren’t the link to the frequency of incidents in the USA. It’s the lack of strict exact clearance and readback, ambiguity in radio calls and clearances and allowing vehicles and aircraft to occupy a runway, that another has been cleared to land on.
The Government will collect £331bn in income tax this year, and spend £333bn on welfare.
In other words, we now spend more on people not working than we raise from those who do.
And the cost?
Debt per person has risen from £11.5k in 2000 (inflation adjusted) to over £41k today.
UK tax is a disgrace.
Inherit £1 million in cash in the UK, and HMRC will take £270,000.
In China, you'd pay £0.... NO inheritance tax.
Yes, you read correctly... in Britain, we’re mugged worse than in a communist state.
@StarrySnow303@moepro@jonostrower Fire in the cabin or not, you’re still trained to put the gear down and extend as close to normal degree of flap as you can, whether that’s using the normal or alternate systems, to do your best to mitigate what unfortunately happened.
Mo Salah, by December 23rd, has eclipsed Bukayo Saka’s best ever G/A in a Premier League season
He’s eclipsed Gareth Bale’s best ever G/A in a premier league season
He’s 5 away from eclipsing Hazard’s best ever G/A in a Premier League season (already beaten 6/7 of Hazard’s seasons)
And I’m seeing people pulling up his “successful dribbles” to suggest he’s not that good 🤦♂️
Earn it? Taxed.
Spend it? Taxed.
Save it? Taxed.
Invest it? Taxed.
Build it? Taxed.
Sell it? Taxed.
Live in it? Taxed.
Drive it? Taxed.
Eat it? Taxed.
Drink it? Taxed.
Smoke it? Taxed.
Give it away? Taxed.
Die? Still taxed.
And what do they do with it? Waste it.
This has to stop - our money & our future are being taxed into oblivion.
