Today, we're releasing Fable 5.1 and Mythos 5.1. While the model is getting slightly better at a lot of things, I expect many users to appreciate that Fable 5.1 solves agentic coding tasks at roughly half the cost of Fable 5.

I personally also really like it's writing style, which imho sounds a lot more natural then our previous models did.

I no longer use Claude models because the speed + intelligence of grok, when leveraged with appropriate prompting / skills have continued to out perform my Claude experiences. This is across long horizon engineering, embedded c, tests, build infra. Not to mention i save money!!

@TheChiefNerd Worth trying Grok 4.6. Fable 5 is smarter overall, but Grok is much faster and lower cost.

Grok 4.7 has a good chance of exceeding all current models in intelligence.

Grok is now very underhyped.

A few folks at Gauntlet AI are now using it as their main/daily driver. Over Fable/Sol.

Folks who I wouldn’t have predicted would touch a Grok model with a ten foot pole even a few months ago.

Grok 4.5, based on our 1.5T V9 foundation model, with Cursor data added in supplemental training, is now in private beta at SpaceX & Tesla. Early evals show performance close to, perhaps exceeding Opus.

RL is continuing to significantly improve the model, and the Grok Build harness gets better every day.

Nice work by all those involved!

Completely trained from scratch new models will be released by @SpaceX every month this year.
