“I kind of just want to be honest about who I am and where I am in my life and, you know, I didn’t want to get to the end of the tour like we’ve done before and kind of just say ‘see you next time,’ I just wanted to be a little more honest with you all about it. I think, since I was 16 years old and working with music, everything in my life kind of taught me that everything in this world is about getting more and achieving more and more shows and bigger things and everything bigger. I think a lot of things have happened to me in the last few years of my life, different things, that kind of changed my perspective and I’m kind of working to learn to be content with what is enough and I never want these moments to feel less special because, once they’re over, they kind of move on to the next thing. These shows have been the joy of my life, they’re incredibly special to me. I think in part because I know that things like this don’t last forever and I just want to thank you for all the support you’ve given me over the years. I want to thank you for letting me do this with you and I think part of the reason why these shows are feeling so special to me in a really new way is because I appreciate them in the moment. I wanted to be open with you and share this with you because I think maybe together we can all recognize how good it is to be in these spaces and have these moments. It’s been a privilege and an honor. Thank you so much. I’m not saying anything dramatic, I’m not trying to be dramatic, I’m just saying, don’t worry, it’s just... I love you and I wanted to talk to you like I would talk to my friends about this. I feel like getting to the end and saying ‘see you next time’ isn’t enough. I just wanted to be a little more open with you.”

@LittleFreak1976 @ifhwasabluebird I just finished this and I wish I could read it for the first time again over and over!!! It reminds me of devilinmybrain’s “you taught me how to love (I taught you how to stop)” which is another world I wish I could step in to forever🥲🥹
