Over the years, I’ve come across all sorts of people. I’ve read a fair amount of psychology literature and spoken to people who understand the subject far better than I do. I’m no expert, and I don’t pretend to be.

But there is something about Keir Starmer that I find deeply unsettling.

It’s not just arrogance. It’s not just narcissism or self interest. There’s something cold, detached, and strangely inhuman in the way he conducts himself, particularly when under pressure.

What I think disturbs so many people is that nothing ever seems genuine. The constant deflection, the robotic responses, the refusal to accept responsibility, the insistence on talking at the public rather than to them.

Most politicians eventually show some humility when things are clearly going wrong. He seems incapable of it.

And the fact that he continues to cling on when so many people have plainly had enough is remarkable in itself.

He just needs to go now.
