🚨 A Primary Health Centre in Gadumo community, Ajaokuta LGA, Kogi State, commissioned as a constituency project in October 2022, remains locked, unused and ebbing because no health personnel have been posted to the facility.

Our inspection in February 2026 confirmed that the centre is fully completed and equipped with beds, delivery couch, consulting rooms and waiting areas, yet it has remained non functional for over three years.

Despite having this facility, the entire community has no access to healthcare and have to travel about 4km to Ganaja PHC for medical attention or rely on traditional means.

This highlights a recurring governance gap in public projects. Infrastructure without personnel or service delivery planning defeats the purpose of investment.

Communities need projects that are properly conceptualised from construction to staffing and operation.

We call on the @kogistategovng, @NphcdaNG and @Fmohnigeria to urgently deploy health workers to Gadumo PHC so the community can finally access the healthcare facility built for them.

Public projects must work for the people.
