That video of Steve Harvey talking about how ridiculously rich Michael Jackson was still cracks me up 🤣😂 “Michael got giraffe money” had me finished 😭🐐
What I’ve always said is that having played doesn’t always make me right. Geoff and I disagree on stuff still. What it does is allows me to make quicker decisions when watching film and have a lifetime of work in the field that lets me diagnose things better. My gut/intuition is usually pretty good where maybe it takes others longer to get there. In this particular instance the OP was wrong on many fronts: 1) Incorrect alignment of DL 2) Intent of DL 3) Action of DL post snap (slanting in) 4) Technical aspect of OL footwork to accomplish the block 5) Discussion of scheme and how outside zone from shotgun with a RB that takes longer to get to full speed impacts the block. That’s all before getting to the pass pro rep in which almost every single thing he said was wrong and was way worse analysis than the run play. In this instance having played doesn’t make Geoff right because of that. But he’s able to understand all of those aspects better and come to the proper conclusion easier and faster.
WARNING: do not make smoked shotgun shells unless you’re prepared to eat way too many of them. These things should honestly be illegal at a backyard cookout. Absolute 10/10.
The newest addition to the #Chiefs Hall of Fame, Derrick Johnson, talks about the lesson people can take from his career.
He says, "It's one thing to acquire a lot of accolades and accomplishments, but who are you becoming?"
First time playing against KC we had a toss to the right. I had the perfect angle to block DJ. He jumped behind me doing a pass rusher swim move on my arms then easily made the tackle. On the sidelines my OL coach said don’t worry about that one, you got out-athlete’d. Sure did!
