#WATCH | Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu: Leader of the Opposition in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, Udhayanidhi Stalin, arrived at Tiruchirappalli Airport from Chennai ahead of a DMK protest scheduled to be held in Thanjavur on Monday condemning the alleged betrayal of farmers by the ruling Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) government.

#WATCH | Tamil Nadu: Farmers, led by farmers' association leader Ayya Kannu, staged a protest by burying themselves in sand of the banks of Cauvery River in Tiruchirappalli demanding the immediate release of Cauvery water for irrigation.

The protesters alleged that despite repeated appeals for water to save the Kuruvai crop, Karnataka has not released Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu. They condemned the Karnataka government, accusing it of treating Tamil Nadu as a "drainage state" by releasing only excess water instead of providing the state's rightful share.

The farmers also reiterated their opposition to the proposed Mekedatu dam project, stating that it would further affect Tamil Nadu's water availability.

சட்டமன்ற தேர்தல் தோல்வியால் ஏற்பட்ட விரக்தியால் ஏற்கனவே செய்வதறியாது திகைத்து வருகின்றது திமுக. ஊழலுக்கு எதிராக ஆளும் தவெக அரசு எடுத்து வரும் நடவடிக்கைகளால் மக்கள் மத்தியில் பெருகி வரும் ஆதரவினை கண்டு, தங்கள் எதிர்காலம் குறித்த கடுமையான கவலைகளில் திமுகவும், அதிமுகவும் உள்ளது.

தனி நபர் தாக்குதல்…

அரசியல் என்பது தனிநபர் தாக்குதல்தான் என்ற மனோ நிலையில், திமுக - அதிமுக கரம்கோர்த்து முதலமைச்சர் விஜய் மீதான தாக்குதல்களை ஆ.ராசா, அனிதா ராதாகிருஷ்ணன், ஆர்.பி. உதயகுமார், செல்லூர் ராஜூ, ராஜேந்திர பாலாஜி உள்ளிட்டோர் இணைந்து மேற்கொண்டு வருகின்றனர்.

தவெக நிர்வாகிகள் மீதான குற்றச்சாட்டுகளோ, அரசு மீதான புகார்களோ வரும்பட்சத்தில் உடனுக்குடன் நடவடிக்கை எடுத்து வருகிறார் முதலமைச்சர் விஜய். இதனால், ஆக்கப்பூர்வமான விமர்சனங்களை முன்வைக்க முடியாமலும், மக்களுக்கான அரசியலை முன்னெடுத்துச் செல்ல முடியாமலும் தடுமாற்றத்தில் உள்ளது திமுக - அதிமுக. மேடை கிடைத்துவிட்டது ஆளும் அரசை விமர்சிக்க ஏதுமில்லையே என, எதையாவது கூறி தங்களின் இருப்பை காட்டி வருகின்றனர் அக்கட்சிகளின் நிர்வாகிகள்.

உடையும் இரகசியங்கள்…

தேர்தல் முடிவு வெளியான அன்றே தவெக தலைவர் விஜய் முதலமைச்சாரவதை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளா முடியாமல் எடப்பாடி பழனிசாமியின் தலைமையை ஏற்று அவர் தலைமையிலான அரசை அமைப்பதற்கான முயற்சியில் ஈடுபட்டது திமுகவின் ஒரு பிரிவு. தற்போதைய சூழலுக்கு அது நிகழ வாய்ப்பில்லை என்பதை உணர்ந்து, அதனை கனிமொழி கருணாநிதி எதிர்த்ததனால் அது நிகழாமல் போனது. அதனால் நிர்வாக ரீதியாக திமுகவிற்குள் புகைச்சல் பெருகி வருகிறது.

இருந்தாலும், ஆளும் அரசை சிறிது காலம் விமர்சிக்க மாட்டோம் என கூறிய திமுக தலைவர் மு.க. ஸ்டாலின் உள்ளிட்டோரால், அரசின் ஊழலுக்கு எதிரான செயல்பாடுகளைக் கண்டு அமைதியாக இருக்க முடியவில்லை. விரைவில் ஆட்சி மாற்றம் ஏற்படும் என தனது பங்காளியான அதிமுகவுடன் இணைந்து விமர்சித்து வருகின்றனர்.

இரகசியமாக மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்ட திமுக - அதிமுக கூட்டணி முயற்சி, ஆதாரப்பூர்வமாக திமுகவுடன் இருந்த கட்சித் தலைமைகளால் வெளிப்படுத்தப்பட்டது. “திருச்சி சிவா மத்திய அமைச்சராவார்” என அனிதா ராதாகிருஷ்ணன் கூறியதன் காரணமாக பாஜகவுடனான கூட்டணி முயற்சிகளின் இரகசியமும் வெளிப்படுத்தப்பட்டது. அதுபோன்று அடுத்தக்கட்ட இரகசிய திட்டமும் வெளியாகியுள்ளதோ? என்ற சந்தேகம் ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது.

சட்டமன்றமும் கலவரங்களும்…

1989 மார்ச் மாதத்தில் சட்டமன்றத்தில் நடைபெற்ற மோசமான நிகழ்வுகளால், அதிமுக பொதுச்செயலாளராக இருந்த ஜெயலலிதா, தான் திமுகவினரால் அவமானப்படுத்தப்பட்டதாக எழுப்பிய குற்றச்சாட்டுகள் எவராலும் மறக்க முடியாது.

அதே போன்று 2017 பிப்ரவரி மாதம் சட்டமன்றத்தில் அமளி ஏற்பட்டபோது, தனது சட்டை கிழிக்கப்பட்டதாக மு.க.ஸ்டாலின் குற்றம்சாட்டினார். சட்டமன்றப் பேரவைக்குள் கிழியாத மு.க.ஸ்டாலினின் சட்டை, அவரது எதிர்க்கட்சித் தலைவர் அறைக்குள் சென்று, வெளியே வந்தபிறகே கிழிந்த நிலையில் காணப்பட்டது திட்டமிடப்பட்ட நாடகம் என அப்போது வெளியான காணொலிகளும், விமர்சனங்களையும் யாரும் புறந்தள்ள முடியாது.

திமுக: 2026 ஆகஸ்டில் என்ன திட்டம்?

தமிழ்நாடு தலைகுனியாது என்ற பிரச்சாரத்தை முன்னெடுத்த திமுகவின் சட்டமன்ற உறுப்பினர் மார்க்கண்டேயன், “மானங்கெட்ட தமிழ்நாடு” என தமிழ்நாட்டை இழிவாகக் கூறியதோடு அல்லாமல் “உன்னை சட்டமன்றத்திற்குள் வைச்சு பார்த்துக்கொள்கிறோம்டா, உனக்கு எலும்பு இருக்காது உடைச்சுட்டுதான் அனுப்பி விடுவோம்“ என ஆகஸ்ட் மாதம் சட்டமன்றம் கூடும்போது சட்டமன்றத்திற்குள் என்ன செய்யப்போகிறோம் என்ற இரகசியத்தை வெளிப்படுத்தியுள்ளாரோ என சிந்திக்க வேண்டியுள்ளது.

தாத்தா காலத்து திமுக என பெருமை பேசி வரும் திமுக, தங்களது தாத்தா கலைஞர் கருணாநிதி அவர்கள் காலத்தில் ஜெயலலிதா அவர்களுக்கு ஏற்படுத்தியதைப் போன்றும், அவர்களது “அப்பா” மு.க.ஸ்டாலின் அவர்களது காலத்தில் சட்டையை தாங்களே கிழித்துக்கொண்டது போலவும், தற்போது உதயநிதி அவர்கள் காலத்தில் “மார்க்கண்டேயன் கூறியதைப் போன்று திட்டமிடுகிறதோ…?” என்ற சந்தேகத்தை உறுதிப்படுத்துகின்றது.

ஏனென்றால், “ஜனநாயகப் பண்புகள் அறவே இன்றிச் செயல்படும் த.வெ.க. ஆட்சி” என கூறியுள்ளதன் மூலம் மார்க்கண்டேயன் பேசியது ஜனநாயகப் பண்பு என சுட்டிக்காட்டியுள்ளார் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின்.

#WATCH | Kallanai Dam, Tamil Nadu: The fall in water storage at the Mettur Dam has raised concerns over irrigation in the Cauvery Delta, with both Kuruvai and the upcoming Samba cultivation under threat. During the same period last year, the dam was at a reservoir level of 120 feet, holding about 93 TMC of water. At present, the water level has dropped to 77 feet, with storage reduced to just 39 TMC.

திமுகவும் & குழுக்களும்: தீர்வா? ஏமாற்றும் முயற்சியா…?

அரசாங்க நிர்வாகத்தை நடத்தியது போன்று, திமுகவிலும் தொடர்ந்து குழுக்களை அமைப்பதால் மட்டுமே தீர்வு காண முடியாது.

முறையான உட்கட்சித் தேர்தல் மூலம் தொண்டர்களின் ஆதரவைப்பெற்ற நிர்வாகிகள் தேர்வுசெய்யப்பட வேண்டும். எத்தனை குழுக்கள் அமைத்தாலும், சீரமைப்புகள் மேற்கொண்டாலும், நியமனப் பொறுப்புகள் நிர்வாகிகளிடையே விரக்தியையே ஏற்படுத்தும்.

இப்படி குழுக்களை அமைப்பதை தவிர்த்து, திமுகவின் விதிகளின்படி செயல்பட்டாலே தீர்வை கண்டடையலாம். ஒவ்வொரு கூட்டங்களையும், நடைமுறைகளையும், நிர்வாகிகள் நியமனத்தையும் கட்சி விதிகளை படித்து செயல்படுத்தினாலே போதுமானது.

தேர்தல் பணிக்குழு என்பது திமுகவில் தொடங்கியதற்கான நோக்கம் என்றைக்காவது நிறைவேற்றப்பட்டது உண்டா? அந்தக் குழு வேலை செய்ததும் இல்லை, வேலை கொடுத்ததும் இல்லை. தேர்தல் பணிக்குழுவிற்கான நிர்வாகிகள் நியமனம் ஏன் செய்யப்படுகிறது? என்பதை திமுக தலைமை நிர்வாகிகளும் கடந்த காலங்களில் சிந்தித்ததாகத் தெரியவில்லை. முதன்முறையாக தனது கட்சியின் மேற்படி குழு குறித்து மு.க.ஸ்டாலின் பேசியிருக்கிறார்.

திமுக தலைவரோ, மற்ற முக்கிய நிர்வாகிகளோ கலந்துகொள்ளும் எத்துனை கூட்டங்களில் அந்த பகுதியின், வட்டத்தின், கிளையின் நிர்வாகிகள் மேடை ஏற்றப்பட்டனர்? இருக்கை அளிக்கப்பட்டது?

பிரம்மாண்ட மாநாடுகள், பொதுக்கூட்டங்கள் என்ற பெயரில் காசுகொடுத்து கூட்டத்தை கூட்டி தங்களையும், எல்லாம் தெரிந்த மக்களையும் ஏமாற்றாமல்… காலத்திற்கேற்ப, இயல்பான கூட்டங்களை நடத்த வேண்டும். ஒப்பீட்டளவில் இயல்பான கூட்டத்தை கூட்டுபவர்களாக தற்போது முதலமைச்சர் விஜய், சீமான் ஆகியோரே உள்ளனர் என்பதையும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளவும் வேண்டும்.

எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் மேலாக ஆக்கப்பூர்வமான விமர்சனம் புரிவோரை முத்திரை குத்தாமல், விமர்சனங்களை கேட்டாலே போதுமானது.

Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu: On state govt's appointment of Venkata Narayana as special representative in Delhi, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) president Thol. Thirumavalavan said, "The appointment of the Special Representative was the Chief Minister's personal decision, and the post had been given to a person who enjoys the Chief Minister's confidence... the position was not one that exercised executive powers in governance, and the Chief Minister had entrusted it to someone he trusted... it was an internal party matter and not a government office, and therefore the party leader had the authority to make such appointments."

#WATCH | Tamil Nadu: Residents staged a road blockade protest at Sanjeevi Nagar on the Tiruchirappalli–Chennai National Highway demanding the speedy completion of maintenance work on the Cauvery Bridge.

The old Cauvery Bridge has been closed for the past two days for repair works, resulting in severe traffic congestion and causing major inconvenience to commuters. Protesters said the prolonged closure has led to unbearable delays and urged the authorities to complete the maintenance work at the earliest.

Traffic police officials reached the spot and held talks with the protesters in an attempt to pacify them and restore normal traffic.

Residents also pointed out that their long-pending demand for the construction of a flyover at Sanjeevi Nagar has remained unresolved for several years. They recalled that the local Member of Parliament had earlier assured that the project would be taken up soon. However, with the closure of the old Cauvery Bridge, traffic congestion has worsened, prompting the public to launch the protest.

The traffic jam has stretched for nearly three kilometres, affecting the entire route from Oyamari Road through the Cauvery Bridge, Mambazha Salai, Thiruvanaikaval, Kumbakonathan Salai and the Tiruchirappalli–Chennai National Highway. Vehicles remain stranded, with traffic coming to a complete standstill and commuters unable to move even an inch.
