"Magpapayat ka para magkababy ka na"
The worst unsolicited advice you could ever give a woman nearing her 30s, trying and wanting so badly to get pregnant all whilst dealing with hormonal & weight gain probs like it's all her fault.
Thank you for making feel like shit, "ninang".
So calling us and Leni kakampwets, pinklawan, lutang, lugaw, elitista, npa at kung anu-ano pa from the very start and ridiculing our time of grief is the new meaning of pagpapakumbaba na pala. Ayus π
Wow may character development.
Pero sila yung naunang manira at mang mura. Ngayon bait-baitan. Pwe. I see you, friends and family.
I'm at the chapter of my life where I'm ready to have kids, and if this taught me something, is to try my best to put my children and my spouse above any other people. To be all ears and heart for them, to be present in the best and worst days. To give them all the love I have.
I just shared a post on FB that says "Stay away from your relatives who are mean to your mother" and I wrote the caption "And parents should stay away from those who are mean to their kids, too".
My dad left a comment saying "Always give love anak"
I, for one, decided to distance myself from those relatives. That's my way of loving them, because I don't want to hate them, I really don't. And I don't want to lose the respect that you give family. But I want to keep my sanity, too.
