Dear @EnvAgency.

In February this year, after 4 years of asking you to look after the Aldersbrook, I led a team of volunteers to do your job for you & clean out tonnes of silt & leaves, as well as hundreds of bags of rubbish. Through the effort of community volunteers & donations, & at zero cost to the taxpayer, we turned a forgotten silted up ditch back into a river again.

Last nights intense rain storm showed why our actions are the very definition of “strengthening water resilience”. A huge amount of rain fell in a short time, but the restored section of the Aldersbrook has been able to hold 100’s of thousands of litres more water, stopping this water running into the Roding, & thereby *reducing* local flood risk. The first photograph below is of the Aldersbrook after the rains this morning- a big contrast to the area before we did the work.

Perhaps more importantly, this water, instead of running straight off into the Roding & hence the sea is now being held in the Aldersbrook & gradually released so it can be used by nature. It is feeding marshes, trees & wildlife, topping up groundwater & helping to reduce our flood/drought cycle. If you want to strengthen water resilience, we need thousands more projects like the Aldersbrook around the country.

So the question I ask you, Environment Agency, is why you are threatening me with two years imprisonment, rather than offering to meet & discuss how we can work together to restore the Roding & its tributaries, which could become a blueprint for you cooperating with local river guardians nationwide?

91 asylum seekers are housed in the Mercure Hotel near Dumfries, Scotland.

Now teenage schoolgirls are being given rape alarms because there are reports that the men are harassing them and taking photographs of them.

The local council have talked about “buffer zones” around the hotel.

Surely that is not the answer.

If you need buffer zones then you have the wrong people in the hotel. Everywhere you go, these gangs of young men are sitting around, playing on their phones and hassling girls and women.

Today we remember Kriss Donald.

On 15 March 2004, 15-year-old Kriss Donald from Glasgow was kidnapped and murdered in a racially motivated attack.

He was abducted by a gang of men of Pakistani background who were looking for a white boy to target. He was driven across the city, taken to a remote area, and brutally tortured and killed and there was almost zero media coverage.

Kriss was just a schoolboy. A son and a brother whose life was stolen through hatred.

He should be remembered, and what happened to him should never be forgotten.

Rest in peace, Kriss Donald.

If you have not watched the halal slaughter video, I urge you to find it on my page or Restore Britain’s profile. Watch it and digest it. To treat animals like that is pure evil. No other word for it - evil.

Animals writhing around in their own blood, having been stabbed in the neck. Strung up alive, whilst the blood pours out of their wound. Thrown around. Tortured. Desperately trying to escape whilst the men laugh and joke. Butchered alive. The fear that these poor animals must suffer through as they bleed to death.

I feel sick watching it.

This is happening to millions of animals - millions and millions.

I refuse to eat halal or kosher meat. I will not do it. I use my local butcher because I don’t trust the supermarkets to properly label it. I will take every possible step to ensure that I am not supporting this evil industry in any way. I urge you all to do the same.

Evil is the right word.

I don’t care if Muslims or Jews get offended.

This is Britain and we do NOT treat our animals like this.

Of course a slaughter is an unpleasant process. We all know that. But the British do it in a way that is quick, humane and reduces unnecessary suffering.

I am proud to lead a political party that would remove those religious exemptions on day one.

Restore Britain will do exactly that.

Reform have said they won’t, the Tories won’t ban it. Labour obviously not, nor the Greens.

Restore Britain will.

We will ban halal and kosher slaughter. I promise you that.
