Pleased to see Big Pharma finally put in the frame in the blood scandal. @samroddick is totally right: “I think it should be the corporations that pay. It should be a really high level. It needs to hurt and it needs to hurt the right people.” https://t.co/Im0nvBW8Bf
This was a joy to make with @maryportas & @samroddick The remarkable life of Anita Roddick who turned a small Brighton store into a global empire - while pioneering an ethical & eco-friendly way of doing business that was way ahead of its time #greatlives https://t.co/ljSABIBCX9
@BRAINCURES@jim_reed@TheBodyShopUK she was officially recognised as one of the victims - was a part of a collective law suit - donated the money to hep c foundation - one of the hidden reasons for selling the body shop was because of her decreasing health - she wanted to give all her money away before she died
Corporations should compensate victims of the infected blood scandal, says @samroddick
Sam's mother Anita - founder of The Body Shop - died from Hep C in 2007 after infected blood transfusion.

“This chap got his wife and sister to call me the day before he died. They told me that he wanted me to know we should never give up the fight.”
It is going to be a “momentous week” as the government “finally” respond to the infected blood inquiry, says @CazjWheeler.
'This is a collective injustice'
Samantha Roddick spoke to #BBCBreakfast about the infected blood scandal after her mother Dame Anita Roddick - founder of the Body Shop - was among thousands of people given a contaminated transfusion while giving birth in 1971

love this … often those who believe they are practicing new ways of being and new ways of doing are so deeply conditioned by what is .. they are unwittingly just creating the same system.. we are so blind to what we dont know…
Brazil’s Amazon has seen more forest fires so far this year than in all of 2021. 75,592 fires were detected from January 1 to September 18. The situation is terrible & violence against traditional communities has aggravated in the last years

@JayneEngle i find it interesting that the issue of forced migration is coinciding with the last forced settlement of nomadic peoples. something needs to be written about the comparison of the two which are deeply connected ..
Damning report on carbon capture technology: as a solution to tackling catastrophic rising emissions, plans based on carbon capture and storage 'overstate and underperform'.

@GeorgeMonbiot i dont think your ‘a hired for industry pr journalist’,though there are many like jon entine who went after my mum when she challenged the beauty industry. Your a half an argument man - educated on the diverse depth of the problems but half baked on your mass mono-solutions.
@vickihird the problem with @GeorgeMonbiot is he understands the depths problems but he has an industrial single approach to soultions - he aligns himself with biodiversity within nature but has no social justice understanding or need of micro diversity within how we change the system.
#AlbertWoodfox was my friend and hero-i am heartbroken-i just cant see how the world can be a better place without him-he had many lives which formed a formidable remarkable man-while the authorities tried to strip him of his humanity-his humanity outshone us all
Good to see @CPRE backing the need for a land use framework
The built environment, however, is already governed by planning - whereas agriculture and forestry are explicitly excluded from the planning system. That’s why we need a land use framework https://t.co/sJo0QyeXFV
