We were devastated to learn over the weekend of the tragic death of 13-year-old Noah Campbell hours after watching the Hatters’ win over Peterborough on Friday.
The thoughts of all at Luton Town are with Noah’s family and friends at such an awful time, as well as his two friends who were injured in the collision.
Noah was a talented footballer who spent time training in our development centre as a youngster, and was a regular at Kenilworth Road supporting the Town with his dad, Andrew.
We encourage all supporters to join in a minute’s applause in the 13th minute of Sunday’s Vertu Trophy final at Wembley, a match Noah was due to attend, as tribute to a life taken far too soon.
Fly high and rest in peace, Noah 🧡
No idea why Maguire isn't the first name in our defence, he's been great for England the last few tournaments, and is starting and in form for United. He's also amazing at set pieces #England
Derby County Football Club is shocked and saddened by the incident in the city centre last night, in which a number of people were injured.
Our thoughts are with all those affected, their families, and the wider community at this difficult time.
We would also like to place on record our sincere thanks to the emergency services who responded so quickly and professionally. 🖤

@PremLeaguePanel Him taking Luton to the Premier League and making us competitive with a subpar squad with barely any money invested was also a great achievement. A very good manager who was failed by the Luton board and recruitment last season. Can't help but cheer him on whoever he manages.
Very discouraging approach to the second half, so negative at home to sit back that much. Been backed in January, but three poor results in a row means immense pressure is on the manager, players and the board now.
Doesn't seem like Wilshere is going to last at Luton. Rightfully booed off after a terrible draw at home to Burton, why are Wilshere and Naismith having a go at the fans, who have a right to voice their opinion after paying for tickets. Only Wells and Johnson good today. #ltfc
That has raised some pretty big red flags around the manager. Waited for them to score when it had been coming for 15 minutes, and then waits another 10 minutes before changing anything. Couple this with the boring passive football and his insistence on picking Lonwijk. No good.
@LutonTownExile How dare one of the best players in our squad have standards. He has every right to say what he thinks, the away performances are simply not good enough.
Evidence shows there is actually more happiness predicted by a sense of progress instead of your current status/success. This is because of hedonic adaptation - which is where people adapt very quickly to their status such as wealth, job title, lifestyle.
A person whose income is on the rise reports higher well-being than someone who is rich but stuck at the same level of wealth.
So my overall message is to stop focussing on “Where am I now ?” And shift that to “Where am I heading ?”
Example - instead of “I’m behind in my career”, focus on “what skills am I building that will pay off for my career in 2 years.”
Trajectory > Status
