Just saw this and it’s quite a surprise. A viewer in Japan kept their original "Die Beautiful" flyers from Tokyo International Film Festival 2016 and brought them to the opening of "About Us But Not About Us" in Shibuya today.
Seeing these stories stay with people across an entire decade is the best part of the job. We’re in the middle of rehearsals for the stage version right now and this is a great boost. To the audience in Japan, thank you for keeping the stories alive. ❤️🎬
It actually wasn’t Sunshine that started the 275 pesos for Metro Manila/230
for provincial tickets at SM Cinemas— last year’s Whispers in the Wind also had the same price scheme—but Sunshine had the most hardworking marketing to make the message known.
Now films like P77 (for its second week), Posthouse, and 100 Awit Para Kay Stella are using the same strategy and I hope the interest remains for moviegoers.
Kudos for making films more welcome and affordable for the moviegoing public.
