@paperlotus613 I was the same and only recently thought to come see stuff. I regret it tbh. Going to offline mode again and see what happens from there because what is this
Looking at this from a business perspective, I honestly think the biggest signal isn't Valko's absence anymore🤔 it's how dramatically PPG's behavior has changed.
Marketing has practically disappeared. Offline events were canceled. Existing content is being quietly revised or even temporarily removed. Updates are being pushed in-game with barely any promotion on social media. Those aren't the actions of a company focused on building hype, they're the actions of a company trying to keep the spotlight off while bigger issues are still being dealt with🤨
That's why I don't think the silence is just bad communication. It feels intentional(?) In the middle of a corporate crisis, every announcement carries legal, operational, and reputational risk. If there are still unresolved issues behind the scenes (or even external scrutiny) they may have decided that saying less is safer than saying the wrong thing🥲
We obviously don't know everything happening internally, so I don't want to treat speculation as fact. But from the outside, this doesn't feel like a company navigating ordinary fandom backlash anymore. Right now PPG is acting like a company trying to stabilize itself before it can go back to business as usual😮💨
Idk maybe I’m being too philosophical over here, but I think the reason I struggle to understand the way some people are in this fandom is because I approach the media I consume kinda in the same way I would approach art at an art gallery 🧐
If I come across a piece that doesn’t resonate with me, I simply move on to find something else to look at and when I do, I usually forget about that piece within minutes
What I absolutely don’t do is throw a tantrum, demand that security remove it, try to tear it off the wall or spit on the artist’s grave or curse their name
I accept that it’s in the gallery because it earned its place. Someone poured their talent time and heart into creating it and I acknowledge it may not have been made for me but for someone else, someone who will love and appreciate instead
You don’t have to like every piece of art in the gallery, guys - and you certainly don’t have the right to stop anyone else from seeing it too

I hate the excuse of “efficient” every time genAI comes up in the topic of art making. Efficient in the making of art is keybinds, lasso tools, textured brushes, etc. Efficient in the making of art is NOT partaking in the exploitation and thievery of your fellow artists
