@Bergsson11@GabSutton That is part and parcel of the leagues you play in.
For 46 games a season we have to put up with it, why should it be different for 1 game. Teams have been promoted and relegated on poor decisions in the league phase, why should the play off final be any different.
Championship is wide open next season, no clear front runner once top sides inevitably lose their best players.
Can’t wait for us to not go for the opportunity and languish at the bottom of the league again 🙄 #pompey
@HancockAnalysis Think this all comes down to what happens with Hackney, stay and they’ve got a great chance with a couple of additions.
If he goes for big money they have to reinvest it wisely!
Unfortunately looked like they ran out of gas last night, probably a lack of depth cost them
@mrandrewmoon What’s the biggest takeaway from the season you’d like Pompey to leverage next?
For me building on the aggression and athleticism that players like Adams and Devlin added this year has to be the platform for taking the next step for us #Pompey
@HancockAnalysis Biggest condition of any recruitment has to be that they are able to play to mousinhos gameplan, athletic, aggressive, team players are key!
@jeffharris_665@PompeyFlag We could actually do ourselves a massive favour, take anything from boro and Ipswich and Coventry could be on the beach as champions by the time we get to them 😬 very optimistic view 😂
#pompey
Praying Coventry have the league wrapped up the weekend before our Tuesday game.
Would mean our last 3 games against teams already clocking off for the summer (all with players heading off to World Cup)

Have to step away from the “better value for money” being the main transfer strategy
Brighton and Brentford in recent years have built a stable backbone of proven performers for the level with a couple gambles.
Hardened athleticism the key at this level, which #pompey lack
Relegation would be a failure of Michael Eisner's ownership. #Pompey are fighting to stay in the Championship and Tornante are fighting to save their reputation among fans. A few thoughts from me. https://t.co/6F24jrueL2
@RobbieHandley1 Unfortunately can only see that outcome, even with another manager not sure we have the players to get us out of this, only hope is winning both the home games against Oxford and Leicester and find 4/6 more points from somewhere
Relegation looms!
I can’t understand why the recruitment turned away from athletic and aggressive press that served us so well last year. Even with little money the profile of player we brought in was wrong #pompey
@RobbieHandley1 Think the owners are too loyal, seems to have worked for others, Oxford and Norwich switched and now Norwich find themselves up in 10th after being 4 points below us about 15 games ago.
@WISEASS999 Seems we have lacked strategy and purpose…. Or been priced out, I mean we were linked with Mattsson for ages and most Norwich fans were calling him player of the season for them come January (maybe not the hardest thing to do with where they were at that point)
The signings made look really challenging on paper, I can pick out 1 that fits the mould that we would’ve wanted (no points for guessing who that is) #pompey
Good result given where we are from a squad perspective, 13 points from the last 8 league games with just the 1 defeat.
Big week and a bit with 3/4 still needed in the door (ST, RW, CB are a must) money apparently there and 2 loan spots to fill #Pompey
Looking at 9 players (of which 6 attacking options) out until February at the earliest, Kosznovsky out until end of year and Yang going back.
3-6 players as targeted feels light now, probably looking more at 7-8 to stand any chance of staying in the league, big 2-3 weeks #pompey
#pompey current strategy cannot and will not work without a core of experienced championship players not past their peak, unfortunately they cost money!
Gambling on injury prone players or from abroad because they are cheap is not working - sleepwalking into massive trouble.
@City1863Stoke@GabSutton Chaplin has spent most of his time playing right wing, which hasn’t yet seemed to work at all.
And a lack of pace and power from other attacking options to stretch teams has not created the pockets between defence and midfield that he usually thrives in.
