@JakePrice1927 Makes no sense to me. If restrictions don't mean that stage 1 are guaranteed then it's completely useless. If the club are going to announce how many people qualify in each stage then they should also say how many tickets are on sale.

In my opinion, MMP and List-PR are both far better than FPTP, but they're not without their demons.

In 2024, did FPTP protect us from a much larger reform influence in Westminster? I'd argue so, though it now threatens us with a reform majority.

I abhor FPTP and this is an interesting new angle, but we must be careful in blaming FPTP entirely for reform's hypothetical Westminster success.

Is this the first poll that suggests Reform would perform better in FPTP than in some form of proportional rep.? I'm unsure.

Around 3/4 of people don’t want Reform in power.

But the narrative is that they are unstoppable.

First-past-the-post has warped British politics for far too long.

Now it risks letting the extreme right win a majority. It needs to go.

It's clear that the split in voters between Tories and Reform allowed Labour to benefit from FPTP in 2024 but a move away from it gives smaller parties (Perhaps with voter bases that are largely broad as opposed to deep) a huge bargaining chip in forming coalitions.
