Al menos una veintena de alumnas de la Universidad Nacional de Asunción (UNA) denunció la difusión no consentida de imágenes íntimas y fotografías manipuladas con inteligencia artificial. El material habría sido compartido de forma anónima en una página web.

⚖️ Las afectadas están realizando las denuncias correspondientes de manera particular, mientras que desde la UNA emitieron comunicados de repudio y anunciaron su acompañamiento ante estos hechos.

The Palestine liberation movement is also a nationalist movement, and there is nothing inherently wrong with that. There is a fundamental difference between the nationalism of a colonized people struggling for liberation, return, and self-determination and nationalism used to justify colonization, dispossession, and domination.

Palestinians do not need to abandon our national identity or distance ourselves from Palestinian nationalism to make our liberation palatable to anyone else. People outside of our struggle do not get to dictate the terms of our liberation or tell Palestinians that asserting our nationalism is somehow reactionary.

We must demand that Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor immediately release the names of every soldier to whom they granted confidentiality in their documentary NAZA while documenting admissions of war crimes.

There is something fundamentally perverse about creating films and journalism centered on Israeli soldiers confessing to atrocities against Palestinians while simultaneously protecting those soldiers from identification and potential accountability.

Palestinian suffering cannot simply become material through which Israeli filmmakers interrogate their own society, generate discourse, win acclaim, or invite audiences to contemplate the psychology of the perpetrators. These testimonies contain admissions of war crimes. The question cannot end with what these soldiers said or how their confessions made an audience feel. The question is what accountability follows.

Otherwise, Palestinian suffering is once again transformed into spectacle, while the people responsible for inflicting it remain protected.
