All are North American.
All are being sued for alleged copyright infringement.
It is beyond astonishing that this is who the government saw fit to partner with.

To be clear, the ‘high-quality human data’ being discussed here is *other people’s work*, which Demis’ company has taken and built on without permission.

Licensing / copyright infrastructure is perfectly fine as it is - if someone uses someones property, they have to pay for it! ITS SO SIMPLE! AI companies need to be transparent and pay for the data they are scraping
Nick Clegg is wrong to say artists’ demands on AI & copyright are unworkable.
Every argument he makes could equally have been made about Napster:
- The tech is out there
- Licensing takes time
- We can’t control what other countries do
These are not reasons not to uphold the law and treat creators fairly.
