Meaning:

New money is entering.

The trend is usually strong.

This is the healthiest rally.

Price rises.

Open Interest falls.

Meaning:

People are closing positions.

This move is often caused by short sellers getting liquidated or taking losses.

The rally may not last.

3. Price ↓ + OI ↑

Price falls.

Open Interest rises.
