Not one Scot good enough to get into junior singles @Wimbledon for 2nd successive year.
And all 11 British teens lost 1st round 2day. 6 boys. 5 girls.
Incredibly disappointing.
The pathway is flawed. Follow the Italian model. Invest in clubs + coaches. Not centralised systems.
How on earth journalists are reporting with a straight face that the world’s top singles players are doing a protest over Grand Slam prize money then being so chipper about the end of the doubles tour?
The doubles players put out this statement objecting to the ATP overhauls to reduce doubles that I reported on in the below article.
I don’t see any convincing counter arguments here, really. More transparency, sure, but “tradition” is a weak card and it seems to be their best.
A child spends 9 hours online and can think of nothing else to do but stare at the wall & self professed “conservatives,” think it’s hilarious or cool or ironic. Once again I have no idea what “civilisation” the right thinks it’s protecting.
🫣 "How unlucky am I?"
😡. "You're a disgrace!"

@tobysomeoneb Nothing went over my head? I responded to your point. Yes he’s celebrating, yes he’s very highly regarded, but also Boro are his clients and that’s what he was celebrating.
I don’t think EFL are daft enough to reverse - but we literally do not know yet.
What happens if the EFL decide to take this to CAS if the ruling is overturned? Or are they just going to put their hands up and say “sorry we were too mean the first time”?
The only conclusion to this that draws a line under it all is City winning on Saturday
Saturday's Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Final between Hull City and Middlesbrough will kick-off at 15:30.
Should the outcome of the ongoing appeal process result in the Final being contested by Hull City and Southampton, the kick-off time for the fixture will remain at 16:30.
#EFL
@tobysomeoneb He is working for Boro on the case and he’s done a great job for them, but ultimately Boro aren’t involved in this case (EFL vs Southampton).
Who knows what’s going to happen? I’m making a wider point about how stupid the whole thing has been.
