Yes it's called GROWTH and its something you can't stop as long as you breathe and have Life. Whatever the case, the tendency for certain things to EVOLVE or DEVOLVE is as contact as change it itself.

At some point your mind unconsciously reviews everything around you and priorities change. At the end of the day, we have 2 kinds of people:
1. The ones who just live life and lets the environment and experience unconsciously shapes them into whatever.
2. The ones who consciously review things around them, prioritize, set goals and stay focused because they have the power to make who they want out of what environment and experience tabled before them.

As days go by, our views change, things we cherish suddenly become worthless, beliefs and ideologies fades away, our wants, desires and things we crave don't give that much satisfaction anymore, some trends we fantasize about become obsolete, the character and personality we build over the years evolves. We outgrow certain things and loose interest in a lot of things we once saw as fun, a lot of gatherings and activities become boring, friendships and relationships become sour, love turns to hate and hate gradually unmasks into love.
