The left romanticizes victimhood. But Israel broke that mold.

A people who were slaughtered, expelled, and persecuted across history didn’t stay victims. They built a nation. They defended themselves. They became strong.

That offends the left’s framework.

Because if Jews can overcome history and succeed, then maybe oppression isn’t destiny. Maybe power isn’t always evil. Maybe victimhood isn’t a virtue.

And if that’s true, it shatters the entire moral architecture of leftist activism.

So instead of admiring Israel’s success, they condemn it. They redefine Jewish survival as colonial aggression, because they don’t know how to reconcile Jewish strength with their obsession with victim narratives.
