@StanUsmnt If you say before this tournament started that we would score 8 goals in the group, win the first two games, be able to fully rotate against Turkey, and then lose by a last second goal we would have been over the moon. I get we want to win every game but it’s really okay.
@charlescerb@utdksu01@USMNTTAKES It’s not FIFA, it is the rarity of significant technical development past early 20s. Now maturity, decision making, positioning are things that can but if you are expecting technical skill progression it is rare.
@YoYoDills@USMNTTAKES Technical development past early 20s for midfield/attacking players is rare. He can become better with decision, positioning, etc but other skills he is pretty capped at. No hate he’s shown some good moments for us.
If you would have told me before the World Cup started that we would win the group and get 6 points I would have been very happy. This is a minor bump, with many positives (rested players, played a good team decent with subs on). Onward to the knockouts!
@ForzaMilan_79@SushantRao@SoccerInsider He would play where Malik has been playing. He definitely has the energy for it. You start him and Berhalter together, then Weston and Tillman can replace if needed.
I have known that the USA had the talent to do this for years. Seeing it come to fruition on a World Cup stage means more to me than anyone will ever understand.
