At the McKechnie Institute on Saturday Dr M Barry Miller, Retained Lightkeeper for Ayrshire & Galloway, gave a fascinating talk on the history of the Scottish Lighthouse Service and his personal experiences working for the Northern Lighthouse Board.

Rozelle House Museum & Gallery is proud to support the HND Art and Design course of Ayrshire College for their 2026 class showcase.
This dynamic exhibition will show work made by the students in the Patrons gallery from 9th May – 31st May 2026.
Feral’s outdoor arts residency programme is aimed at Scotland based artists interested in developing outdoor or site-specific performance projects responding to landscape.
A brilliant weekend was had at The McKechnie Institute with Artist in Residence, Claudia Zeiske. Claudia's residency focused on the pioneering fieldwork of geologist, Elizabeth Gray, the concept of 'modern fossils', and the art of walking.
