Some people are so naïve that they regard the two Gujarati tycoons as “our own” capitalists, while treating Elon Musk as a foreign capitalist. This is a profound delusion.

In a globalised world, Indian origins alone do not make a capitalist “one of us.” Those whom some embrace as “our own” merely happened to be born in India. When one buys cheap Russian oil and sells it to Europe at a profit, concern for the Indian people does not guide his decisions. When the other profits in Israel by selling off Indians’ water, forests and land, or moves Indian money to Seychelles or Mauritius, where is that supposed loyalty?

These “Indians” buy foreign citizenship for members of their families. They are simply capitalists. Exploiting Indians does not make them concerned about the welfare of the Indian people.
