@Bounce_BackLoan Signed over 3 days ago and received no cash. Also i'm a business account holder (not feeder) so i thought it would be more straightforward for them but doesn't seem like it.
@Bounce_BackLoan@sharabora @glamorglitzbaby Might as well request DNA sample. Had job interviews that were less intense than Metro; and they definitely do a hard search which is annoying. My advice if you want to pass their test make your business sound boring & simple or you'll get their famous 'risk-appetite' π€₯ decline
@_Kelly_Isaacs@Bounce_BackLoan yeah, they've become notoriously tough recently with many applicants; i was rejected with them for not meeting their risk appetite. Safest bet with metro is to have a simple business model (no franchisee/no foreign beneficiaries/no volatile industry sector/etc)
@Kevin67467652 @Bounce_BackLoan @dodonantwich Not complaining. Dodo wanted to know how long it took so i shared the overall time from start to finish (inclusive of applying for an account). I'm super happy it took just 35 days considering it was hsbc. But yes, the BBL part only was 6 working days
@Bounce_BackLoan received the ecosign from hsbc after they teased me for a while. trying to call to check if i have to fill in the direct debit form on page 2 (not using a feeder but full business account for my LLC) if i put in hsbc details in direct debit feels redundant.
@dodonantwich @Bounce_BackLoan Well this was the time frame:
June 16th - Business account application
July 11th - Application for Business approved
July 11th - BBLS Application submitted
July 21st - BBLS Approved (waiting for it to appear in account)
Total time frame: 35 days
@pen_gwyn@Bounce_BackLoan Cheers thanks! can breathe a sigh of relief now (well, still waiting for the cash to reflect in the account, but hopefully shouldn't be a problem)
@pen_gwyn @camjesse88 @Bounce_BackLoan @FerasElma @canalboats well done mate, lucky you, applied same time as you but nothing. called them and they said nothing in pipeline as far as they could see
@LuckyFreeman9@pen_gwyn Experian score of 53 when HSBC accepted me for a business account, i skipped going for feeder and went for business as i assumed it would be faster for bbl. So as others have said i think when banks mention credit score they have a different metric from conventional experian etc
@pen_gwyn@Bounce_BackLoan wow, lucky you. I went down opening the traditional business account route instead of feeder before applying for the BBL and even then no corporate account manager. I'll reach out to hsbc and see if they can assign someone; gives peace of mind at least.
@pen_gwyn@Bounce_BackLoan any luck with your HSBC ecosign? have been religiously checking day on day but it's been a week with nothing. Hope it comes on Monday
@Bounce_BackLoan@pen_gwyn@petewall41 @FerasElma @acc_uk @Tonyukr @TideBusiness@StarlingBank@TideBankFailed@OliverPrill @HSBCUKBusiness @HSBC yeah i'm also waiting for the ecosign since applying for the loan with hsbc. I did try to pre-empt any delays and took the initiative to start the complaint/follow-up process and received feedback from one of the managers that mine was being reviewed and to wait.
@Bounce_BackLoan same for me: 'risk appetite' - and i'm an electronics retailer which is as basic as it gets when it comes to business. Might have been because i said my supplier was in China but then again half the world is made in China so doesn't make sense. Metro is just finding any excuse
@pen_gwyn @camjesse88 @Bounce_BackLoan My situation is quite similar to yours, i think we both got declined by metro same time and both approved for hsbc, albeit mine is approval for the account, didn't do feeder. Applied last night for BBL. fingers crossed it's not a 2 month wait. Le us know if HSBC approves it.
@Bounce_BackLoan was accepted for a regular HSBC account. is it worth proceeding with applying for BBL or should i wait to see if Clysedale gives me an account? I'm desperate to apply but just worried if HSBC goes MIA for few months after applying for BBL and will be stuck with them
