i just found out today about a type of tree that grows underground for 3-4 years before you see anything. then suddenly within 6 weeks it grows up to 90ft tall. take from that what you wanna take.
I don’t think people really understand that there is no coming back from certain things. Some damage does not get undone, and once it changes how you see someone, that’s it. Not everything deserves a second chance, no matter how sorry they are.
growing up is funny because it makes you realize in retrospect just how unnecessarily cruel adults were to you in childhood. like damn, i'm an adult now and i could never be such a horrible person to a little kid
I want to be rich. But not Lamborghini
or Rolex rich, I want to be rich enough to go to the gym at 3pm and nobody can tell me no. To tap the family in front of me at the supermarket and say, "It's on me," Rich enough that my future wife never has to worry about getting a job. Rich enough to show my children the world, not pictures of it. Rich enough to take my friends to dinner and say, "| got this", Rich enough that God uses me to help the people who are in need. That's my version of rich.
You can seem like a millionaire to one
person and a homeless person to the
next. The ants think you are a giant and
the trees don't even notice you. You think you have a boring life, but the next person might be striving for your lifestyle. Comparison is the thief of joy so stay kind and keep loving life. Life is all just a big game of perspective.
what you do in private, shows in public. reading shows in a conversation. your diet shows in energy. your discipline shows in confidence. your focus shows in your results. you are what you cultivate when no one is watching. prioritize your time & focus on discipline/consistency
I asked a man who should be served dinner first, the husband or kids. He replied, "It don't matter to me because no one is eating until my wife sits down" and I just…..
Saw someone say "you could literally be fighting for your life, and some people will only notice how you're not showing up for them." Let that sink in.
