Today is world suicide prevention day.

Let's pray for all those souls who struggle to see hope, beset by the temptation to give up.

Yesterday after confession I was instructed to meditate on the stations of the cross for my penance, and while reflecting on Our Lord's Passion I was somewhat overwhelmed by the suffering He undertook for my sake.

And yet, Christ suffered so much to set us free from sin. He did this knowing how often we would stumble and disappoint Him, and He would have done it even if we were the only sinner on earth.
